You've come to the right place if you want to experience FANTASTICALLY BEAUTIFUL DAYS IN THE HARZ (in Bad Suderode, a district of Quedlinburg). As a hiking guide & storyteller (known from radio & TV), we give ingenious excursion tips! In addition, each guest can participate in our evening walks for free & browse the huge legend book archive. It is unforgettable when you sit by the crackling campfire, listen to the legends live & then spend the night in our cozy apartment (living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom)! The space Many offer a living space in the Harz Mountains. There are countless inns & hotels in the Harz Mountains - but the apartment of "SAGENHAFTER HARZ" is unique!!! Your host father Carsten Kiehne is one of the most renowned storytellers in Germany, has published over 30 books, inspired over 10,000 people with the special features of the Harz Mountains & knows such legendary corners that not even the locals can find! You may know him from the public media, the local press, SUPERillu, ZDF or MDR? ;-) If you like, get to know him, see where he lives and works, see his archive with over 500 antiquarian legend & fairy tale books & get individual hiking & excursion tips from him!" On request, each guest can participate free of charge in the guided hikes through the health resort of Bad Suderode (a district of Quedlinburg) & at a reduced price in our workshops (such as the herbal hikes or the "legend expert"). With us, young and old can be trained as a legend expert with a diploma or as a legend teller, stamp unique special stamps of the Harz hiking pin into the booklet and even complete special hiking badges. ;-) The fabulous Harz experience can begin with all the senses!!! Guest access Our guests use the common hallway and have access to their own apartment on the first floor. The apartment (consisting of living room, bedroom, kitchen & bathroom) has a separate exit to the backyard (seating with grill) and the well-kept but natural garden, which the guests share & from which they can harvest seasonally ripe fruit & vegetables. Other things to note Since our apartment is located in Bad Suderode, a renowned and beautiful health resort, we have to charge a tourist tax of €3 per person/day in addition to the booking price, which is paid directly to the municipality. Business travelers do not need to pay a tourist tax!
