Detached guesthouse with large veranda

Below you will find information in the English language. The space In the front part of our large wooden barn, we have created a fully furnished summer house. Adjacent to the living area is a large veranda. The house is very suitable for parents with children (however, if the children do not yet have a swimming certificate, we emphasize the presence of an old swimming pool and an old pond at the farm). The house with attached barn is at the end of a long dead-end dirt road and offers a lot of privacy, and next to the house is a large lawn with unobstructed views over meadows and fields. Deer come to the house and rabbits, hares and other wild animals drink from the pool on the premises. Storks are also among the visitors, although they do not yet use the stork's nest at the house. From the location, there are a number of biking and hiking trails, including the "Veluwe" junction biking trail. The nature reserves: De IJsselvallei; De Imbosch; de Loenermark; de Hoge Veluwe in Otterlo/Hoenderloo are in the immediate vicinity. The beautiful Hanzesteden Zutphen (5.8 km), Deventer (14 km) and Doesburg (22 km) are nearby. The distance Empe - Amsterdam (104 km). A beautiful recreational area "Bussloo" with Spa and Sauna is 5 km away from Empe. The Open Air Museum and Burgers Zoo in Arnhem; The Kroller Müller museum in Otterlo (closed on Mondays); the More museum (Modern Realism) in Gorssel to combine with the More museum (realistic art by Karel Willink) in Ruurlo or golfing in Brummen at Groot Engelenburg; a boat trip on the IJssel, a trip with the whisper boat through Zutphen, etc. There are also plenty of possibilities for children, such as De Spelerij/uitvinderij in Dieren where they can make things themselves with tools and materials; make paper themselves at the paper factory in Loenen; amusement park the Julianatoren in Apeldoorn and a ride on the steam train between Dieren and Apeldoorn etc. Almost everything is available for a baby: a baby bed, baby bath, high chair or bicycle seat in front and back of the bicycle. For groceries and restaurants, etc., you can go to Voorst (4 km), as well as for public transportation, bus and train! Currently, we are in the process of renovating the recreation area, due to the many rains of recent months, the renovation has been somewhat delayed. In the space adjacent to the living room, we have placed a ping pong table and various board games to bridge the gap. Also outside by the veranda is a large iron container in which wood can be burned. If the children want to camp in their own tent in our large garden, that is no problem for us. Our summer house is heated by a large facade stove, (CO2 detector present) on the bedrooms are heating panels. The house is well insulated. We can offer you our guesthouse in the lovely countryside of the river IJssel, close to the medieval Hanze towns of Zutphen, Doesburg and Deventer, with two bedrooms (sleeps 4 persons), a bathroom, a toilet, the kitchen is fully equipped with a 4 burner gas, and a small but nice living room but our veranda is a nice extension of it. Although it must be a lovely house for children, because there is a nice play area with a lot of play things, we have to warn parents who have small kids who can't swim. Near the farmhouse is an old swimming pool and an old pond. Our guest house offers you lots of privacy. An ideal country for walking and cycling. There are many sights of great interest in the vicinity. You can make a drive with an old steam locomotive between Dieren and Apeldoorn; museum More in Gorssel (modern realism) in combination with museum castle More with works by Carel Willink and fashion designer Fong Leng Ruurlo; visit the National Park the Hoge Veluwe with the famous Kroller Müller Museum Otterlo/Hoenderloo (closed on Monday), white bicycles to use for free; the Arnhem open air museum; Burgers Zoo in Arnhem; De Posbank Rheden (our the Dutch mountains!); make a boat trip on the IJssel or a boat trip with "the whisper boat" at Zutphen. You can also rent a canoe in Zutphen. If you are keen on golfing, there is a nine hole golf course at Kasteel Engelenburg in the village of Brummen. About fifteen minutes from the house lies Bussloo with a beautiful large lake for swimming etc. There is also a sauna and spa at Bussloo. For children, it's very nice to visit De Spelerij at Dieren, where they can make all kinds of things; the paper mill at Loenen to make their own paper; the amusement park "De Julianatoren" at Apeldoorn, and if they like to camp in their own tent in our backyard, it's no problem for us. Some hiking tips: De Posbank De Steeg/Rheden; De Loenermark Loenen, Imbos Eerbeek. There are only a few restaurants in Voorst. More different kinds of restaurants you will find at Zutphen. You can rent a bike at Wolters Klarenbeek. At request, we can arrange a baby bed, chair, bath, etc. Accessibility: the nearest railway station is Voorst. Of course, we can collect you from the station. Please ask for details in advance. You can reach the railway station at Empe-Voorst in about 1.5 hours from Schiphol Airport. Amsterdam is about 100 km away. We just finished a recreation room in which you can find a billiard table, table football and several party games.
