Chapel Road Barn is a lovingly restored Victorian out-building which is an ideal place for a couple to stay whilst exploring the Isle of Wight. Beautifully furnished and cozy.... We are a 5 minute drive from the car ferry or a 25 minute walk to Ryde Pier. The number 9 bus stop is 2 minutes away and we have a variety of country walks and lovely cycles on hand....... We have partnered with both Red Funnel and Atlas ferries to offer generaous ferry discounts from both Portsmouth and Southampton The space The open plan living room and kitchen in the barn are well equipped with a cosy mezzanine level housing a super comfy double bed. A new bathroom with large shower completes the downstairs area. There is a comfortable single Jay-b folding bed available for a third child guest. We accept a third child guest in our barn as long as they are a child between 3 years - 11 years old. There is an additional fee for a 3rd child guest at Chapel Road Barn which is £10 per stay to cover additional laundry fees. We have a selection of games to play, a record player and a 50" Ambience wall mounted TV to enjoy some chill- out time. Leading out from the french doors at the front of the barn is the patio area complete with small table and chairs. This area is separated from the owners garden with a hand-weaved willow screen for privacy. The patio is full of pots and (hopefully!) flowers……. We have a very well stocked corner shop 50 yards away and Binstead beach is just a 15 minute walk away too........... The Fishbourne inn, a nice pub for dinner is a half hour walk which passes the old wall ruins of Quarr Abbey with a lovely view of the Solent. Our local Pub, The Binstead Arms is open for food and drink and has a nice beer garden. It's a 3 minute walk away..........Although it is closed on a Monday....... Chapel Road Barn is not suitable for infants (toddlers) or pets. The path leading up to our barn is loose slate which people with significant mobility challenges may find difficult. The mezzanine level is such that you will need to lower your head to get around the bed. There is a reminder on the stairs as you go up…….. If you choose to visit you may like to look at 'Isle of Wight Guru' on fb for local deals on food and attractions. Also the website 'The Price is Wight' is full of special offers and discounts to use during your Island break. Guest access Guests access the barn from the small gate on the drive and via a slate path. The slate path needs extra care if our guests use walking frames or walking sticks . If people have limited mobility it is not as easy to walk on loose slate rather than concrete - we are happy for guests to walk up to the barn on the grass if this is the case. The parking space directly in front of the small gate is for our barn guests. The barn is at the end of the owners garden - there is a privacy screen in situ around the balcony. The barn is about 20 metres up from the main house. There is a security camera providing 24 hour cover of our driveway where your car will be parked. Other things to note I’m afraid we don’t have the outdoor space to allow dogs at Chapel Road Barn....... Minimum stay is 2 nights. We welcome guests who want to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of our surroundings……. We are only suitable for two adults and one small child who is happy to sleep on a z bed on the mezzanine level as shown in the photos. The willow fence around the barn has been replaced with a wooden fence and gate in July 2025 to give complete privacy to the barn and its patio area - you can see a photo of this in the Additional Photos section of our listing.
