Description
Welcome to Castleview Cottage, in a superb location snuggled inside the Medieval walls in the delightful coastal town of Conwy. Our Fisherman's cottage sleeps up to 4 guests in a double room and separate bunk room and is a short stroll away from the harbour, Castle, pubs and restaurants. Easy self check-in with electronic door code. Our rates are flexible and the longer you stay the lower the rate - ask for a quote! The space Location, Location, Location! Castleview Cottage is located within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, tucked under the Medieval Town walls in the tiny coastal town of Conwy. The harbour front, Castle, suspension bridge and other attractions are just a short stroll away along ancient cobbled streets. Our historic holiday cottage has a unique roof terrace at the rear overlooking the town and Castle which is a suntrap during the day and the perfect spot to enjoy an evening drink watching the sun set. Downstairs we have another sitting area on the breakfast deck off the kitchen to make the most of the unique setting. The house has a lounge and dining area with a super cosy open fire and a separate kitchen with breakfast bar (to make the most of the lovely outlook). Upstairs there is double bedroom with a cast iron bed and triple wardrobe with plenty of room for a cot if required. We also have a bunk bedroom with a door opening on to the roof terrace. This room is compact, with no wardrobe and limited storage so we only recommend it for children rather than adults. Your comfort and enjoyment is important to us so if you are a grown up and want to use the bunks please click contact me before sending a reservation request. Castleview is located on a side street with no noisy passing traffic - a big advantage in this busy town. Limited parking is first come, first served on the street but it is narrow and steep so only for competent drivers. Alternatively, through the Castle Gate (50m) which is free and unrestricted or in nearby pay and display car parks (payable on an App). The Town's most famous attraction is of course it's dramatic 700 year old Castle, which you can view in all it's splendour from the cottage's roof terrace. Wander down to the quayside and soak up the nautical atmosphere - Conwy is a popular sailing hub (we are keen classic dinghy sailors ourselves) and still home to a traditional mussel fishing fleet. Find the Smallest House in Britain, enjoy crabbing off the pier, or enjoy a cruise along the estuary. Upstream there's an RSPB Nature Reserve, with guided walks, or walk to the wide sandy beach at Conwy Morfa. Conwy is an ideal base to explore the region's magnificent mountains, beaches, coast and countryside. A huge range of outdoor pursuits are on offer, including walking, climbing, biking, boating and golfing. Our region is the adventure capital of Europe - the famous Zip World, Surf Snowdonia, Fforest Coaster and other attractions are close (no more than 30 mins by car or less) and really shouldn't be missed. Castleview also shares an open space at the rear of the cottage with a secret decked sitting area tucked away within one of King Edward I's Castle towers - always a huge hit with our younger visitors! Conwy is a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best examples of a medieval walled town in Europe. With a vibrant artist's community and a number of world-class heritage attractions, including the historic harbour and Telford's suspension bridge, it is a delightful all year round destination. We hope that the beautiful surroundings, warm Welsh hospitality and the real pleasure that we take in welcoming people to our home will combine to make your stay with us a very special one. Guest access All arrival and access information is provided 7 days before your stay and we also sent a list of personal recommendations on things to do and see during your stay at Castleview Cottage. Our Visitor Information Booklet has all the information necessary to make the most of your time in Conwy, together with lots of Guest recommendations and reviews. We have local guide books, visitor information and maps available for guest use. Other things to note We add a small cleaning fee to cover the fixed costs of preparing the house (linen and laundry). You are still expected to leave the house clean and tidy as per our house rules. For longer stays we normally waive the cleaning fee so please click 'Ask Jackie A Question' and I will send a quote - I can't offer a discount if you make a reservation request. If you have pet allergies please contact us to discuss - we occasionally have dog visitors and own dogs and horses.
