A simple, old house in the beautiful Schächental in the middle of the mountain landscape. The place offers tranquility and you can experience nature at its best. The whole house is rented from May (on request mid-April) to October. Suitable for hikers, families or groups. The space The house is located at over 1,400 m above sea level. The location is very idyllic and overlooks the beautiful mountains of the Schächental. Above the house is a forest area where the fox and rabbit say good night :) The accommodation offers everything you need for a simple life. Hotplates, oven, fridge, coffee machine, washing machine and dishwasher are available. If you are interested, you can get an insight into the life of a mountain farmer. There are several cable cars in the area. ... families The location is very quiet and almost no cars pass by. For the children, there is a small sandbox with toys and enough space to play. ... cozy group evenings Fun and games are provided. There are games on site and there is no limit to the volume ;) Guest access Since the house is a bit off the beaten track, we recommend arriving by car. The access roads are narrow, so you have to be able to look ahead to cross. The vacation home can be reached via a paid cooperative road (CHF 20 per day). Two road maps are included in the overnight price. If you arrive with several cars, additional road maps can be purchased for an extra charge of CHF 20 per day. Just let me know. Other things to note The house was built at the beginning of the 19th century and renovated over the years (1990 for the last time). The house has already been inhabited by 4 generations. Since 2019 it has been offered as a vacation home. It is a simple, cozy wooden house with charm in the middle of the most beautiful mountains. Communication is everything. You are welcome to express wishes or concerns directly so that the stay becomes an experience. Check-in is possible from 3 pm (earlier or later if necessary, depending on the arrival option).
