Based in a quiet neighborhood in Dar-Es-Salaam, Mtitu House Bed & Breakfast will allow easy access to city center for business meetings or a short distance over the bridge to the Peninsula with restaurants and lively night life. The house was built in the 1950’s and later modified but still stays true to mid-century modern architecture and decor with a sprinkle of swahili culture. From the furniture to the color palettes, we guarantee you will feel relaxed like your home away from home. Karibuni The space The house is large, very airy and spacious. Open spaces in the general lounge that open up to the large backyard give a sense of relaxation and calm. “Juhudi” is Swahili for Effort, however you won’t need much effort to relax in this room. Juhudi is a spacious room with a full size bed. Guest access Guests have access to all common areas including kitchen, lounge/dining areas, front patio and large garden in the backyard. During your stay The host lives on the same property in a separate wing thereby allowing complete privacy to the guests in the main house, at the same time is readily available whenever in need. Other things to note It is of utmost importance that guests not only feel comfortable and relaxed, but also safe and secure. Therefore we do have security services that includes guard dogs on the property.
