Description
The 4-person apartment of 52 m² is located on the first floor and can be accessed from the main staircase via the central hallway. The living room is combined with the dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped. The apartment has 1 open bedroom and 1 bathroom. The (sleeping) sofa is also suitable for 2 people. The bedroom has 1 double bed. The bathroom has a shower, a sink, and a toilet. The space Elbershof is a historic building that dates back to 1778 and was originally built for Markus Martin Bauer in an elegant French style. The complex served not only as a residence, but also housed workshops and a counting house at the time. In 1804, the fine cloth manufacturer Johann Heinrich Elbers took over the building and expanded production considerably. As his business grew, he had a weaver’s corner built across the street and established an office and warehouse in nearby Rosenthal Street. During the 18th and 19th centuries, the textile industry flourished in Monschau, bringing prosperity and new business to the town. Today, Elbershof has been carefully renovated, preserving its historic charm. The property now consists of 13 stylish and comfortable apartments, each with modern amenities, suitable for both shorter vacations and longer stays. With its unique character and location in picturesque Monschau, Elbershof offers an authentic experience in the heart of the old town, where history meets modern comfort.
