A comfortable and bright room in central Avallon

This comfortable room is on the second floor of our restored house in the centre of Avallon. With one double bed it has plenty of space for your comfort with a host of original features. The bathroom is shared with one other room and is directly opposite and features a large walk in shower. Comfortable and convenient, this room is ideal for a restful stopover in Avallon. The space Situated in the historic centre of Avallon, our renovated 200 year old house has 5 bedrooms available. All of our bedrooms are very spacious and contain many original features.Each one of the rooms offers a calm and comfortable environment for a well deserved rest. Guest access Directly in front of our house is street parking that is free between 6pm and 9am. There is free all day parking less than 50 metres from our door if you want to park for longer. Once you have parked there is no need to use the car until you leave since everything is a very short walk from the front door. For guests travelling by bicycle or motorbike we can make space for you to park in our garage. During your stay We are English owners who have loved living in Avallon for the last ten years and plan to be here for a lot longer. We bought the house in 2015 and lovingly restored it to the warm and welcoming place it is today. Professionally and in normal times we run a language centre locally that is primarily for English children to learn French on school trips. That activity is closed at the moment so we have decided to make our house available for guests as a way of gaining some income. We are bilingual and are happy to help you settle into your room and be on hand to answer any questions you may have about the town. We are very happy to give advice on restaurants and answer any other questions you might have about the town and the local area. Other things to note Avallon is a market town with a rich history and plenty of character to make a stay here a very pleasant experience. Perfectly located close to the autoroute it is an idea stopping place to break up a long journey and relax or equally use as a base to explore the beautiful countryside and history of the area during a longer stay. The centre of the town has restaurants and bars, all of which are within a very short walk of our front door. It is rural here so the pace of life is slower than the big city. We believe that this helps create a relaxing and less stressful place to rest your head and also means that even though we are in the centre of the town there is no noise to disturb you during your nights here.
