The space The Cot, Cadgwith Cottages In a row of whitewashed, thatched cottages in a Cornish fishing village, The Cot is one of those places where you can drink in all the atmosphere of Cadgwith and its history. Sunny and south facing, this cottage has been beautifully renovated, allowing you to enjoy the cove in very comfortable, stylish surroundings. Low beams, open stonework and original wooden doors - together with a secret room, possibly a smuggler's hidey-hole - all add to the appeal of this 16th Century property. You can enjoy freshly caught fish and crab in the Old Cellars Restaurant or in the Cadgwith Cove Inn, the local pub and social hub of the village. Guest access Accommodation: Ground floor: entrance leads into a large open plan living room with Italian travertine floor throughout bespoke kitchen area: newly fitted with locally crafted light oak units, polished granite worktops, microwave, dishwasher, electric oven and ceramic hob, tumble dryer, and fridge dining area: with table and chairs living area: with comfortable seating, large inglenook fireplace (here there used to be a cloam oven for baking bread) unfortunately the woodburner can no longer be used due to insurance requirements the secret room leads up from the fireplace. TV, video, DVD/CD player bathroom: with roll top bath, large shower, wash basin and WC utility area: with washing machine and tumble drier. First floor: twin bedded room with view over the village double-bedded room with views over the village, en suite shower room with shower, wash hand basin overlooking the courtyard Exterior facilities: cobbled, enclosed courtyard with table & chairs steps leading up to sloping garden with outdoor seating and sea views Heating: oil fired central heating and wood burning stove Telephone: incoming calls only The cottage has wifi Parking: Can usually be found on the roadside or alternatively there is private parking in a private car park in the cove 100 yards away. Travel cot & high chair: available on request Other things to note Please note that the cottage has low beams. Sorry, pets not allowed. The Cot has a terraced garden with wonderful views, children must be supervised at all times. There is a handrail on the steps in the courtyard. Beyond this, the garden is steep and will be unsuitable for very young children and the infirm to access.
