Small charming house in the heart of Barbizon

It is a small old house from the end of the 19th century, completely restored and furnished in a refined and contemporary style. It is a haven of light and peace in the heart of the historic center of Barbizon; 2 steps from the forest of Fontainebleau. Rental for more than 2 weeks possible after exchanges with me via the site's messaging system. The space This is a house whose decoration and layout have been designed for rest and vacation. The light is everywhere, and the outdoor views of the historic village and forest are all pleasant and soothing. The house has many spaces, which make it possible to reconcile a collective life of up to 7 and more intimate moments, alone or with a few, such as the upstairs bedroom which has a desk, the terrace on the 1st floor for a breakfast for several or to sunbathe sheltered from view; or the small patio in the garden ideal for reading... The fact that the house and its garden are entirely enclosed by walls, reinforces the feeling of intimacy and cocoon... Thanks to its "historic" location (1-minute walk from "Grand Rue") and its typical 19th century Barbizon architecture, even a short stay will give you immediate access to the soul of the village, a unique blend of artistic legends and vibrant natural forces. In contrast, the atmosphere and interior decoration are rather contemporary and exotic; inspired by my travels: Nepal, India, Vietnam, Burma, Madagascar, California, Scandinavia, but also my walks in the flea markets of the area... Guest access The house and its garden. NOTE: The laundry area is reserved for guests staying at least 1 week. Of course, it's always possible to discuss in case of a particular situation. Other things to note NEW Since August 2019, the house has been equipped with 2 ultra-quiet ceiling fans (Hunter) for the large room downstairs, and standing fans (with a "night" position at 45db) in each of the bedrooms. In addition to improving comfort in the summer, ceiling fans optimize "hot" comfort in the winter by being set in the opposite position. A 2nd family-size fridge/freezer is now also available in the cellar (in addition to the smaller one in the kitchen), as well as a 2nd washing machine in addition to a clothes dryer. Noting that many guests like to cook, we offer (on request only) a small mixer, and a pastry robot. A hand blender is always available. Finally, in the kitchen you will find a toaster, a citrus juicer, a Nespresso coffee machine, in addition to an XL dishwasher, 2 ovens (microwave and conventional) and an induction stove.
