La Vieille Roche (Loheac, Brocéliande & Exhibition Park)

The house is set in an ancient ''cours de ferme'' farm courtyard dating back to the French Revolution. Surrounded by countryside and forest with a lake. The location is ideal for walking, nature watching,painting and cycling. I have a mixture of animals including dogs, cats, horses, and poultry. There are various large towns within 10/15 minutes drive offering all amenities such as shops restaurants, bars, and petrol stations. Breakfast and evening meals can be provided at an additional cost. The space The Vieille Roche is surrounded by forest and open countryside it has a charm all of its own. The house is part of the original 16th century Manoir with some of its all round defences still remaining. It's peaceful and idyllic through out the seasons. I am the guardian and gardener for the chateau situated nearby. I have a lot to do and only myself to do it. Please understand that although I want you to have an amazing stay with me I do also have other priorities. This is my home and it's lived in. Its not a hotel, gîte or maison secondaire please remember that when leaving your review and be kind. Bedroom 1: 1 double bed & 1 single bed 1 wardrobe, 2 bedside cupboards with lamps, a small heater, a fan, table & chair. Bedroom 2: 1 double bed & 2 bedside cupboards with lamps,hangers a small heater & fan. The room is small and has no window but is still a very pleasant little bedroom. Bedroom 3: 1 double bed &1 single bed. 1 mattress on the floor on request. 3 bedside tables with lamps,hanging space with hangers,heater, fan & chair. The stairs are steep and not suitable for the elderly or young children. Bedding,Towels ,bottled water, soaps and tissues are all supplied. Guest access I will be here to welcome you and if I'm going out I will give you a door key. You are welcome to use the kitchen to cook meals. You can use the courtyard and outside furniture BBQ, orchard and wander in the forest or by the lake. Some areas of the grounds are private when the Châtelain and their family are in residence. During your stay Im in residence all year round but im happy to share my home and beautiful surroundings with you. There will be maximum of 2 dogs in the house. I'm available to offer you local advice on places to visit and things to see and I will make every effort to make your stay as rewarding and confortable as possible.. The lounge has a guest TV with Netflix available in all languages. Dogs 🐕 are to be kept on leads when outside of the courtyard. Don't hesitate to ask if you need anything or to tell me if you have a problem ... Other things to note All bedding and towels are provided. Help yourselves to a selection of Tea's and coffee anytime of the day. Once you've settled in you can come and go as you please. Per person: Continental breakfast adults 7.50€ Continental breakfast for children under 10yrs 5.00€ Breakfast hours are flexible. Evening meal. Entré plat fromage et désert. 15.00€ Evening meal hours are flexible. I'm happy to adjust meals to your dietary needs. Alcohol is not supplied bring your own. All meals are additional and payable in cash or by cheque directly to Annie before you check out.They are not included in your Airbnb payment. Per use : Washing machine 5€ Tumble dryer 5€ If you are not a lover of animals you'd be wise to stay elsewhere. The dogs can bark and the cockerals can crow. I do occasionally have friends dogs here too on holiday. Bedroom 2 is a pleasant room but is small and has no window. Bedroom 3 is an attic room the beams are at head height and the stairs are very steep so not suitable for the elderly or very young children. The house is not yet fully renovated but it's very comfortable... Bring boots if you're going down the woods and slippers for indoors. FRESHLY BAKED BREAD..... My nearest neighbours make organic artisanal bread in a wood fuelled bread oven. The bread is available to buy freshly baked on a Friday. Registration Details 13566*02
