Comfy double in welcoming home away from home
Comfy double in welcoming home away from home
Description
Our modern home offers easy access to all things fabulous Bristol has to offer. A 15min drive from the M4/M5/Cribbs Causeway or into the centre + public transport links to all areas, Westbury On Trym offers a quieter, more relaxed alternative with all the benefits of a cosmopolitan city to hand. Ideally situated for those working at Southmead Hospital Airbus, etc with the added benefits of having Durdham Downs, a good selection of restaurants, pubs, parks & shops, all within a 10/20 min walk. The space Your bedroom is a fresh, modern, space that looks out on to the garden & is flooded with natural light throughout the day. After your arrival, & for the duration of your stay I will not ordinarily enter, it will be your own personal/private space. A full selection of cleaning/sanitising products are available from the kitchen should you need them at any time. You have a super comfy double bed with a memory foam topped mattress. Clean linen and a good selection of towels are provided for you to routinely change weekly (all guest linens & towels have Dettol anti-bacteria Laundry Cleaner added & are washed independently). Extra bedding, towels & blankets are available should they be required for any reason. In addition to wardrobe space, there's a tall chest of drawers for your clothes & shelving for personal belongings. You have a G.A TV giving you access to a number of streaming Apps + a mini Nest, a handheld steamer and pad, and a hairdryer in the room as well as a selection of toiletries for your sole personal use. Unfortunately, we are not able to host young children/infants. Guest access You'll have full access to the rest of the bungalow, including the garden complete with outside furniture & a large gas BBQ (weather permitting during the spring/summer months). Smoking is only permitted in the garden however, vaping is permitted in the house. Although the bathroom is technically shared, my husband is generally up at 6 and leaves the house by 06:30, he works long hours as a prison officer. I also work but rarely take a shower in the mornings or when guests are in the house. In the many years I/we have been sharing our home with others, there have been only a handful of occasions where accessing the bathroom for any reason, has caused the minimalist of inconvenience. A selection of cereals, porridge, and toast are available daily for your breakfast. Unlimited tea, coffee, filtered water & sugar free squash are available throughout your stay. In addition, you're more than welcome to cook yourself/selves a meal, the kitchen is fully equipped with all the gadgets and appliances you're ever likely to need, want or use. An area in the fridge will be available to you for any foods/drinks that require chilling. Please, feel free to use any dried herbs, spices, condiments etc in your cooking. All crockery, cups, utensils and pans are dishwasher safe. Please use the extremely efficient dishwasher, it's far more hygienic and environmentally friendly than washing up by hand in the sink. For longer staying guests, should you need to do personal washing, you're welcome to use the washing machine. There is also a heat pump tumble dryer, or a heated airer available for a small charge over winter months and during spells of bad weather. The lounge is comfy and modern, though we are currently redecorating. You'll be more than welcome to join us at any time, be it for a chat or to watch some TV. We have a Sky Glass + TNT Sports Channels, multiple Apps and Amazon Fire Stick. The bungalow is serviced by super fast, DTP pass-worded Wi-Fi throughout for those needing to work or wanting to stream films, etc in the bedroom. We welcome the use of all amenities in the bungalow and hope you'll treat our home as your own. The only area that is out of bounds is our bedroom and all we ask is that you're respectful and that you please clean up after yourselves. During your stay Working, living and hosting post pandemic and not wanting my guests to suffer any laps in standards, I had to make small alterations to my hosting style and availability, including my check in/out routines. However, I will continue to be as flexible as possible and endeavour to accommodate everyone's needs as best as I can, so please don't be shy. If you have a specific requirement, just ask. I'm still be at home a lot of the time and generally on hand to provide assistance or answer to any queries you may have, both prior to your arrival and throughout your stay. Other things to note You will have noted from the House Rules and pic's also from my reviews, that I'm a big cat lover. Sadly, we have lost all of our Maine Coons previously mentioned. However, we have welcomed the arrival of Buster, our silver tabby Maine Coon, though still only a youngster, he's already much bigger than a standard domestic cat and has the energy and clumsiness of a toddler. Buster doesn't go outside at all therefore, we do have a large, hooded litter box in the house. I do my very best to dispose of any waste as soon as the tray is used to minimise any possibility of odours. Cleanliness and hygiene have always been very high on the agenda and I take great pride in ensuring there are as few signs as is humanly possible, that we have any animals, anywhere in the bungalow, at any time. Maine Coons can be very Dog like in personality and will "greet" anyone who enters. Buster is no different and he is extremely friendly. He will want to say "hello" and loves to be fussed at any opportunity, it would therefore be impossible to avoid contact entirely during your stay. As much as we love him, he does not have free access to the bedrooms but will, most definitely invade the space given the slightest opportunity. We therefore ask that you please keep your bedroom door + the main, big window closed. Due to my own disabilities, the bungalow is completely wheelchair accessible with ramp access to the front door as well as the wheelchair accessible, level access shower room.
