1830's Grade 2 listed Georgian Town House 1830's in a superb location in the heart of Broadstairs, at the far end of a pedestrian only cobled street. Everything you will need to make your time away memorable is on your doorstep. Two minutes walk from Viking Bay and within yards is a bakery/coffee shop, local shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment. The house itself is set on 3 floors and great care has gone in to restore and renovate it to its original charm. High quality accomodation. The space In the heart of Broadstairs, a short walk (2 mins maximum) from Viking Bay and situated on a pedestrian cobbled walkway and opposite 16th Century Cottages. The townhouse is superbly located, a stone’s throw away from everything you need but tucked away on a street where there is no traffic. It has been tastefully furnished, combining furniture from Heals and Loaf with mid-century modern. Art is both locally sourced and picked for its interest and colour. The household is on 3.5 levels and has three large bedrooms. It is fully equipped with everything that you need to make your stay comfortable. PLUS, there is one parking space which is free for you to use during your stay. At the end of the pedestrian cobbled street is a coffee shop and bakery, open from early in the morning and popular for coffee lovers. Within yards are all the local shops you will need, including a Tesco Express, Boots, butchers and greengrocers, as well as a variety of shops selling antiques, art, home furnishings and so on! There are within a minutes’ walk a host of different restaurants, bars and takeaways. Don't forget Morelli's the renowned Ice Cream parlour which apart from having the best ice cream in the Country gives free ice cream specially for dogs, a small cinema which couldn't be quainter, and Charles Dickens' Bleak House, all a stone’s throw away. The beaches are beautiful and two minutes’ walk from the property. On the ground floor there is a front room with log burner, smart TV and Heals sofa and chair. Next to this is the ground floor bedroom (the orange room) with king sized bed /Emma Hybrid mattress and comfortable bedding. Going down the first set of stairs you reach the traditionally styled bathroom, newly fitted in December 2021 with a high quality bathroom suite. Water is on a combination boiler so hot water is there when you need it. The shower is a real treat. Down some more stairs and you reach a further sitting room open plan with the fully equipped kitchen installed in 2020. There is a further SMART TV, two sofa's one of which is an Innovation sofa bed, and reading area. WIFI is available, the WIFI hub being in this room. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full cooker range, dishwasher, washer dryer, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board and a Loaf table which will seat 6 or when extended 8. There is a range of good quality cooking utensils, pots and pans, cutlery and crockery. it is a great place to sit with family / friends and my favourite part of the house. On the second floor are two further bedrooms. The first has a king-sized bed and a range of bedroom furniture and original 1820’s fireplace. The second has two single beds, one of which is a trundle bed which can be used as a single or can be put with the single to make it a king-sized bed. Outside there is a small secluded courtyard garden equipped with a wooden table and chairs, fun chairs and table and a BBQ. A perfect space for morning tea/coffee or an evening glass of wine. There is a storage bench where you will find spare buckets and spades you can borrow for your stay. Furnishings in the house have been chosen for eclectic appeal and are high quality modern mixed with mid-century. The house has recently undergone considerable renovation including complete new central heating and boiler. All floors have been stripped to reveal the original stunning Georgian floorboards. We hope to provide those that stay a home from home where you will feel comfortable, make happy memories and want to come back! NOTE Cleaner/House Manager Shirley has completed and is qualified in COVID-19 cleaning and safety. the house will have undergone extensive cleaning and sanitation prior to your arrival. Guest access All the house and courtyard garden. Hard standing parking is available on request as part of the booking. This is 2 minutes walk from the property. Other things to note The house is in a mews with no traffic access. Parking is 2 minutes walk away from the house. Drop off bags near house and then park car if you're driving.
