🍂 At the edge of the Vosges and at the gates of Alsace, where the forest murmurs, hides a small chalet nestled in the greenery. A simple and authentic place, designed as a refuge, an invitation to slow down. Here, silence is punctuated by birdsong and the rustling of leaves. The chalet, completely renovated, accommodates one to two people on a vast wooded plot, crossed by a water source, at the end of a small peaceful street, inhabited by a few houses. The space 🌿 Walk, pick, observe Ranked by the Tourist Office, the chalet is located directly on a marked hiking trail, an ideal starting point for many walks. Each season has its rhythm, its colors, its smells. You can pick apples, daffodils, aromatic herbs, blackberries, raspberries, rhubarb or hazelnuts, depending on the period. 🪵 A lively and thoughtful eco-home * autonomous in water, connected to a natural source, * wastewater treatment by plants, * preferred natural and local materials, * furniture largely flea-market, * selective sorting and composting are part of the operation of the place, * main heating by a wood burning stove. The wood is provided and comes from the surrounding forests. (An explanatory notebook is available for the use of the stove if necessary.) Light a fire, listen to the crackling logs, feel the heat settle... A simple gesture that becomes a moment in its own right. 🏡 Comfort and amenities Inside, everything has been thought out for your well-being: equipped kitchen, large shower with hydromassage jets, comfortable and recent bedding, duvet and pillows regularly renewed. Outside, the small table on the terrace, the largest in the garden, hammocks and Chilean chairs invite you to read, nap, or simply watch the time pass. ☕ Small touches The linen package includes sheets, towels, tea towels and bath mats. Coffee, tea and basic products await you upon arrival. A binder gathers good local addresses, markets, producers and ideas for walks. Upon request, we provide a baby bed, highchair and children's bathtub. 🌱 Things to know Wi-Fi and mobile network available free of charge. The main heating is the wood stove, with an electric booster (especially in the bathroom if necessary). 💡In the event of majority use of electric radiators, the surplus is invoiced at the cost price of electricity. ✨ A place to meet This chalet is an invitation to reconnect: to nature, to simple things, to oneself, without being completely isolated. A place to slow down, breathe, and leave with a lighter heart. Guest access The cottage is entirely at your disposal, as well as the garden (we do not live there). At certain times of the year, ponies are in a pasture, bordering the garden. Other things to note ☀️ Important Information Less than 5 minutes away by car is the town of Giromagny: shops, supermarket, bakeries, gas stations, pharmacies... In winter, the street is cleared of snow, but snow tires are mandatory (or chains/socks in the trunk). The spring water is filtered by a triple filtration system, but it is recommended to consume bottled water or boil it. No more pets allowed.
