Chawton is a picturesque Hampshire village located in the South Downs National Park. The Garden House is set in 3 acres of mature gardens within walking distance of The Jane Austen Museum, Chawton House Library and Cassandras' Cup Cafe. The space Set in 3 acres of beautifully maintained historical gardens The Garden House is a comfortable five bedroom family house. Chawton is a small quintessential English village and was home to the novelist Jane Austen who spent the last 8 years of her life in a 17th century house which is now preserved as a museum in her memory. The Garden House was originally the Gardener’s Cottage to Chawton House owned by Jane Austen’s brother. It is located in what was the third walled garden of Chawton House. Guest access Guests will have their own bedroom with king size double bed and ensuite bathroom and shower room. This room also has a small single bed. There is a second bedroom also available at additional charge (please enquire) with a standard double bed and adjacent separate bathroom for a party of four. There is a large Drawing Room with open fireplace. Breakfast will be served in the Dining Room. During your stay We will welcome guests with tea and biscuits and then are happy that they come and go as they please. Other things to note Included in your stay is a home cooked full English breakfast served in our Dining Room.
