Unusual country cottage: Le Petit Cabanon

In an old bourgeois seventeenth century farmhouse, surrounded by nature, the Petit Cabanon is a completely independent building from our home. The small cabin is the ideal nest to recharge your batteries, as a couple or solo, in the heart of an Ardèche countryside that is both wild and bucolic. Fiber optic internet connection allows remote work. The space Le Petit Cabanon has three levels of about 10 m2: on the ground floor the entrance through the bathroom, on the first floor the kitchen and its terrace and under the roof the bedroom. We redid the interior of the building from the roof to the threshold, while keeping the old elements that could still hold, floors, beams and exposed stones... The greenest possible restoration for the materials used: lime plaster on the walls (air lime, hemp-lime, Moroccan tadelakt), hemp wool insulation for the roof. The location of the cabin above the garden and facing the valley guarantees you the greatest tranquility. Guest access You have a parking space in front of the building. Guests can enjoy a grassy and landscaped area outside the building with a barbecue (old-fashioned) and cold water tap. Other things to note You can shop in the village, buy directly from the village producers (cheeses, charcuterie) or from the surrounding area at local markets less than 10 kilometers away (Satillieu on Tuesdays, Quintenas on Thursdays, Saint Félicien on Fridays and Sundays).
