Ideal for friends or the extended family (although not suitable for racing youngsters with its long passage). The space Beauty, quietness, privacy and space, and proximity to many of Cornwall's great attractions. There is so much to do nearby. And after a great day out you are very happy to pass through the lime tree alley of the parkland to your spacious cottage enclosed in gardens. Kayak or canoe on this magic stretch of river with her wooded river banks. Carlyon Bay - a lovely long beach less than a mile in front of us, good swimming, paddle-boards, food stalls and this summer we are excited to have the 'Kneehigh Theatre' in their marquee on the beach. Charlestown historic harbour, film set for 'Poldark's' tall ships, and excellent restaurants within this extraordinary port. Mevagissey fishing village, famed for her quintessential Cornishness with fishing boats, restaurants and cottage charm. Further inland is the Lost Gardens of Heligan, 25 minutes drive, Lanhydrock House, National Trust, 20 minutes drive, the Eden Project, 20 minutes walk, Tregrehan Garden, on site! To the north within 45 minutes is Newquay (take the direct train line from Par) and Fistral Bay, surfing mecca, and the continuous stretch of beautiful beaches west and east. Walk your socks off on Bodmin Boor or the coastal trail. And a stunning way to visit St Ives is by train. Guest access Guests have the cottage, a private garden with lots of parking & walking through the parkland and fields any time with adjoining public footpaths. Other things to note During the COVID~19 pandemic we follow the cleaning protocol advised by the national Tourism Alliances & Govt guidelines including effective cleaning systems necessary for SARS-CoV-2 virus. We are signed up to the 'AA Covid-confident charter'. We are fortunate with space in this extra-ordinary garden environment to allow you to freely explore the landscape in safety. Occasional charity events are held in Tregrehan Garden. Bi-annaully the parkland driveway is used for the Truro District Motor Club racing event. These don't really effect the cottagers.
