We welcome you to stay at our home and in the beautiful surroundings of West Dorset. We offer a lovely one bedroom (double bed) self catering annexe which has all the comforts that you'll need! It is well equipped and has fresh towels, bed linen, tea towels and everyday essentials. Relax and enjoy beautiful Cattistock. We have a beautiful village with a historic pub the Fox and Hounds and a village shop. August 26 update. We cannot offer the BBQ and fire pit until we are out of the heat wave The space The property will be deep cleaned for your safe stay. We provide tea, coffee, sugar and fresh free range eggs from our Bantam hens if they are laying. We offer basic cooking ingredients such as salt, pepper some spices and store cupboard items for your convenience. We also provide dishwasher tablets and all cleaning materials including tea towels. Willow annexe is attached to our home and is tucked away in the garden. You have a fully functional open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge. The annexe has one bedroom ( DOUBLE BED 4’6 with Feather bedding, we can however provide a feather free option also. The shower room has had a complete refurbishment in November 2025 which now offers you a lovely space and gives a sense of luxury. You have your own front door and the privacy, we do however live next door. We always respect your privacy, but you may see us from time to time during your stay. There is an LG smart TV where you can access streaming services. Netflix is available for you. Sometimes streaming UHD can be patchy at peak times, though generally not bad at all! There is a picnic table and umbrella in the garden, please feel free to use this, it is by the annexe for your sole use. We have some great views across the valley. There is a patio at the top of the garden, you are welcome to use this there are lovely valley views from here too. We have a cosy swinging chair and patio furniture. We can make a BBQ available for your use, you can get charcoal at the local garage in Maiden Newton. We have free range Bantams in the garden who go about their business! We have two cats Nipper and Queenie, they are friendly and will often be seen sunning themselves in the garden. We have two lurchers, Bridie and Mabel, They are very friendly will want to be everyone’s best friend. We will consider one well behaved dog staying with you in the annexe, this would need to be agreed before you arrive, please message us before you book. No dogs are allowed on the sofa, chairs or bed. Cattistock is a thriving village with lots of amenities, the Fox and Hound pub in the village is traditional and serves nice food with a good food. There is a beautiful church in the village, a shop with post office. We will operate a minimum 2 night stay. Check in from 4pm and check out 11am. Due to Airbnb putting up host service fees to 15.5% I have had to increase my nightly cost, as a guest you no longer pay service fees. Guest access There are 5 steep steps up to the garden from the drive and so our property is not accessible for people with mobility issues. sorry! You have your own front door to the Willow annexe, through the garden and to the left hand side of the house. The annexe provides a fully functional kitchen and shower room, with new Mira shower. You have a fan assisted oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher. The annexe has oil fired central heating. The bathroom is a newly fitted, there is constant hot water. Hive heating system for home heating. Check in from 4pm only, earlier by prior arrangement please. Other things to note Please note we are situated in an elevated position and there are steps up to the property, so unfortunately our property is not wheelchair friendly. Sorry We do have some Bantam hens, There are a number of cockerels in the village and they like to have a crow at each other now and then, so you may hear this in the morning. Please be aware our property has a septic tank for water waste and the toilets, please only flush paper down the loo! Thank you.
