Our home is located on the edge of Cubert village close to Newquay and Perranporth and just a five minute drive or pleasant walk to the beautiful Holywell Bay. Your comfortable room has breathtaking views over Penhale Sand Dunes, open countryside and the Atlantic ocean in the distance plus a very big sky! Your room has excellent facilities and you have exclusive access to a large bathroom nextdoor. We are on hand to help make your stay great, but respect your privacy absolutely. The space Our home, which we call "There Y'arr sea" (There we are; sea), is located in a small modern development of houses in the village of Cubert near and between Newquay and Perranporth and just a five-minute drive to the beautiful beach at Holywell Bay. It's a four-bedroom detached house with breathtaking views over Penhale dunes (The largest in Cornwall with special scientific and conservation designations), open countryside and the Atlantic ocean in the distance plus a very big sky and plenty of sunsets! Our guest room is carpeted, warm, quiet and comfortable. We are far enough away from the village road, so that you don't hear the traffic. The room has a new double bed and mattress with bedside drawers either side , a dressing table with built-in mirror and side drawers. The room also includes a wardrobe with plenty of hangers. We have included a mini fridge, which sits on a separate table and we provide fresh milk and a kettle so you can make your own tea and coffee. We include a range of beverages including Cornish tea, coffee and chocolate. Other items in the room that you'll find useful include: a toaster; an iron and ironing board; a silent clock; an HD TV with Chromecast and DVD player (You'll have access to Wi-Fi); a hairdryer; a full length dress mirror; a ceiling fan; two chairs; three touch controlled dimmable table lamps and a multi-charge cable for your devices. There are also extra pillows and blankets for your comfort. We can provide local OS maps if you're keen walkers and we can give you plenty of ideas about places to visit for fun, food and frolicking. We've also provided you with a small cool/backpack plus a flask and food containers, which you can take out with you on your trips. Our guests often use the breakfast items to make up a picnic. For your safety the house has smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and you'll have access to a torch and a first aid kit in the room. There is a fire extinguisher immediately on the landing opposite your bedroom door. The guest room door has a spy hole and is lockable. Please note that this accommodation is NOT self-catering and our kitchen is not accessible. Cooking equipment, such as microwave ovens and steamers may NOT be used in the guest bedroom. The room has a sea view and with the weather on your side you'll experience some of the best sunsets you'll ever see. Conversely, if you like to see stars, then the light pollution is very low compared to Newquay and I have binoculars! If you fancy a quiet day at 'home' you are welcome to use our sunbeds and garden chairs in the secluded rear garden in season. Access to the garden is out through the front door, round the side and into the garden via the side gate. During your stay you will have use of your own large private bathroom, which includes a toilet, bath, sink and shower. To save on your packing we include shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand soap. We have also provided anti-viral spray, hand sanitiser and paper towels. You will have your own parking space in front of our garage door and there's plenty of room for your surfboards in the garage. We also provide a cold outdoor wash down facility to rinse off your surfing equipment in season. We provide a simple breakfast comprising various cereals, fruit, bread, pastries, marmalade, jam and fruit juice to your bathroom in sealed containers. Feel free to eat takeaways in your room. Crockery and cutlery is available in your room or in the dresser in the bathroom. Our accommodation is suitable for singles and all couples who love the beauty of Cornwall, but like to retreat to a quiet living space after a hard slog down by the sea. Our aim is to provide you with a vacation experience that will match everything that is good about our wonderful county of Cornwall Sorry, but no dogs or other pets. Unfortunately our house is not adapted for disabled access. The front access door has a level threshold. The bathroom has a wall mounted grab rail to help you get in and out of the bath. This accommodation is not suitable for infants or children. Due to local authority planning restrictions we are unable to accommodate Campervans and Caravans on our parking spaces or on our estate generally. We currently do not have a fast charging facility for electric vehicles. However, we do have a normal outside socket for the charging of hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles at a cost per Kwh in cash to be agreed. Unlike some places we DO NOT expect or want you to clean your room/strip the bed etc prior to departure! Also, accidents do happen, so inform us if there's been a spillage so we can sort it out for you. Guest access You have exclusive access to a Guest Bedroom and Guest Bathroom. Access is via the front entrance, hallway, staircase and landing. Access to the rear garden is allowed (if the hosts are not using it for a specific purpose) plus the use of the garden furniture. You can also take shelter in our garden bar (log cabin) if it is unlocked. Access to the garden is through the side gate via the front door. Use of the ground floor WC is not permitted unless invited to do so. The host will provide access to the garage and door operating fob if you wish to store surf boards or bicycles. Your parking space during your stay is almost always the one in front of the garage door. We will advise you prior to your arrival. During your stay We welcome our guests just as we would our friends, but we respect your privacy absolutely. Likewise, we still like our own privacy and so other rooms are out of bounds. You will be provided with your own registered front door and room key and can come and go as you like. We live on the premises and will be on hand to help whenever you need it. That being said, we do go out of course, but then you'll have our mobile numbers. On arrival we will offer you a complimentary drink in our lounge or in the garden depending on the weather. This will include tea, coffee, squash or alcohol, but you'll have to like home brewed beer or wine! Don't be afraid to shout out for us from the hallway if you need help. We will hear you! If we're out please call our mobiles. Early check-in is sometimes possible by prior arrangement, but will be dependent on whether we have previous guests checking out as we have to have sufficient time to carry out a thorough clean and air the room. Checkout from your room and parking space is 11am. We cannot extend the checkout time due to the reasons mentioned above. Holding cases may be possible by prior arrangement. Other things to note On arrival we will meet you at the front door. We will invite you into our lounge or the garden for a welcoming drink. This will give us the opportunity to explain how we have prepared your accommodation and how we will manage your stay. We will deliver a breakfast hamper into your bathroom the night before. All the foodstuffs are in sealed containers. Crockery and cutlery are in your room along with kettle, toaster, milk and beverages. Dirty plates, crockery etc are to be placed back in the hamper in the morning and left in the bathroom for us to collect, wash and then return to the bathroom.
