Donkey Shed & studio for 6 with wood fired hot tub

Stunning views across the Wye Valley, a wood burner inside, beautiful oak-framed space with separate self contained studio sleeping 2, an all wood fired hot tub under the stars and a warm welcome await you at the Donkey Shed. The space The main living space of the Donkey Shed is double height with kitchen, sitting and dining all enjoying the spectacular view. The burner will warm you if it is chilly out - we'll lay the fire and provide a row of logs for your stay (further supplies can be purchased from us). We also provide a couple of bottles of excellent ale from our favourite local brewery on your arrival. Upstairs on a mezzanine is a king bed and rocking chair warmed by the wood burner flue. Downstairs is a cosy bunk room with shelves stacked with decent novels. The bathroom is across the hall. With separate shower and enormous bath tub wrapped in marble, we also provide handmade natural soap and relaxing bath bombs, both made locally. The beautiful oak frame runs through the building, providing a link between Donkey Shed and Seren - an inviting little studio space sleeping two. Here there's everything you'll need for a relaxing stay, allowing space and independence from the rest of the accommodation but still in close proximity. The high ceilings and raised bed offer a delightfully light yet very private feel, with glimpses of the stunning Wye Valley below. There's underfloor heating, heated towel rail and handmade soap in the shower room. Every inch has been designed by us with practicality, comfort and beauty in mind. The outdoor wood fired hot tub is wooden throughout and ridiculously relaxing, whether the stars come out or not. We don't use any chemicals in the water, instead the water is changed and the tub scrubbed down fresh for your stay. If you would like to use the hot tub during your stay an additional charge of £60 is payable per 3/4 days (therefore if you'd like use throughout a week's stay a change of water and further fee of £60 will be necessary). Just let us know your arrival time and we’ll get the hot tub up to temperature and provide enough wood for a further few heat ups, should you get addicted! Outside are seating areas all with fantastic views - there's a sunny patio to read the morning paper, a picnic table amongst the wildflowers and a bench with a buzzard's eye view of the river, all within 30 minutes of the M4/M5 interchange. We hope you love it as much as we do. Guest access You'll have private access to the property. The external spaces are exclusively yours however you will be sharing the drive as our garage is attached to the building. Other things to note There are outdoor steps to get to Seren and the bed platform is accessed via ladders so is only suitable for sure footed folk!
