Casa Caneto is a fully restored house, part of a farm in the Tuscan Maremma. The house is located 450 m from the center of the village of Scansano (GR). The uncontaminated environment and location of the house offer tranquility, privacy and freedom, all surrounded by a suggestive landscape. Casa Caneto is ideal for excursions in the surrounding areas rich in Etruscan and medieval history, also famous for the production of wines and local products of excellence. The space The house is for two people, part of a rustic Tuscan farmhouse in the village of Scansano (GR) reachable by car and on foot. The house is divided into two levels. Ground floor: Independent entrance, large living room, eat-in kitchen complete with appliances. The second floor is accessible via an internal staircase with a small balcony connected to a corridor where the double bedroom and full bathroom with large shower are located. The outdoor space consists of a garden and a large terrace with table, chairs and BBQ and a suitable area for sunbathing complete with deck chairs. The car can be parked near the apartment. Rates for the autumn, winter and spring months include heating costs. Guest access My guests have at their disposal a large terrace with garden table and chairs, umbrella, deck chairs and a BBQ. Other things to note Should you need to wash clothes during your stay, there is a laundry in the village where you can wash and dry in a short time. Also bring a good protector and refresh cream/spray against the sun, with SPF 30 minimum. [It is recommended to apply the protector half an hour before lying in the sun]. - Sunglasses, cap, light clothing and not with dark colors, rock sandals and beach towel. Bring an Italian language guide or an electronic translator [in this area, many people do not speak English, so a language guide or a translator is always useful]. - If you use certain medicines, bring a sufficient amount from the Netherlands and a detailed description in English of your illness. As a prevention: bring a first aid kit and spray against mosquitoes. In Scansano, they are not so common, but towards the sea in the morning and in the evening they can be present. If it is very hot during the day, it is recommended to drink a lot [e.g. water, fruit juices or ice tea] and to eat fruit, ice cream and light dishes. - Do not lie in the sun between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. the rays are at the highest heat point and they are not healthy for the skin and organs. - If you wake up one day and find everything under fog, do not be alarmed, if you drive outside Scansano, you will often find beautiful weather.
