Swn-y-Môr at Ash Grove, Llangennith - a beautiful, modern apartment with breathtaking views of Llangennith beach and Rhosilli downs. It has a spacious, modern, warm, step-free layout - as well as your own personal outdoor area and access to a heated swimming pool. The space Swn-y-Môr is a bright, airy, entirely step-free, warm apartment ready to welcome you in. As you enter the main door to the property, you enter the kitchen that stretches onwards to an open plan dining area and then left to the lounge area bringing you back round to the front door. To the left of the front door is a huge bathroom with a massive walk in shower and an large bath with clawed feet which is big enough for two. There is underfloor heating throughout so you’ll never have cold feet. The property is also south facing and is always warm. Next to the bathroom is a lovely airy bedroom with brand new king size bed, with soft head rest. We have a double wardrobe, a large chest of drawers and bed side tables with lamps on each. There is extra bedding inside the wardrobe should you need for the bed in the lounge. The kitchen is galley style and has everything you should need including Lavazza coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave, full oven and stove; large fridge/freezer and washing machine. Adjoining the kitchen is a large dining table - able to seat up to 8 people easily - with the most beautiful view across the fields, Rhosilli Downs, the amazing sunsets and of course the sea! It’s gorgeous. The open plan space opens out to a lounge area - with a large L-shaped sofa that also has a pull out bed (if required) as well as a pair of comfortable armchairs placed strategically to capture the views and the last rays of the sun - perfect for having a quiet read. The living room has a wide sliding door that takes you outdoors to the pool and to the patio area - where you can enjoy a swim or a sundowner at the large granite table. There is a large TV that you can plug in your Google or Roku dongles or just watch the telly. We also have a lovely old fashioned radio - if you’d prefer. Outside the patio door in the lounge you have your own gated patio area. There is a gate to the pool and to the right we have a large granite table and a cast iron BBQ - as well as an outdoor shower and a washing line for hanging wetsuits to dry. The views across the field to the beach are beautiful and you’ll find yourself sitting there all evening watching the birds, horses, sea and sunsets in the beautiful quiet. Please note that while the owner allows one well-behaved dog, it must never be left unattended at the property. The pool area is shared with one other holiday cottage - has a lovely seating area and is heated from 1st May till end of Sept. We hope you love it as much as we do. Guest access Our guests have access to Swn-y-Môr apartment in its entirety and outside its doors. There are gates on the 3 sides of the building - one by the front door, the side gate and the pool gate. We ask that these are kept shut for your own privacy. The pool area is shared with the one other holiday cottage. Other things to note Ash Grove has 2 holiday lets on the site which share the same entrance. Please use the car spaces on the left hand side of the main gate - there is one space per property available on site. Please keep the front gate shut to stop sheep, horses, cattle from wandering in - and dogs going out. Shops and Pubs PJ's iconic surf shop, the Kings Head pub with huge outdoor area and the Community Hall that runs regular markets and events. Pubs nearby: The Britannia, Llanmadoc, The King Arthur (Reynoldston), The Worms Head Hotel (Rhossili), The Smugglers Bar and Kitchen, The Ship Inn (Port Eynon). Cafe's/Restaurants: The View; The Lookout (Rhossili); Oxwich Bay Cafe; The Beach House (Oxwich); Cwm Ivy Cafe; Community Shop (Llanmadoc); Parc Le Breos; Parkmill - Gower Heritage Centre; Little Valley Bakery (Parkmill); Three Cliffs Coffee Shop; Pobbles Pizza; Gower Deli (Pennard); The Estuary Cafe; Roma Fish and Chips (both Penclawdd). The nearest supermarket is CK's in Penclawdd - which you pass on your way to Llangennith. Its about 5 miles away - so remember to pick up your supplies on the way in. There is a large Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Marks and Spencer all in in the Swansea area - but they're a good drive away from Llangennith.and they all do a delivery service to Ashgrove SA3 1JA. Local Interest Nearby is Llangennith church - a beautiful 6th century building that is still in use and loved by the community. Llangennith is perfectly placed for some of the best walks on Gower as well as surfing and swimming. Gower Peninsula is stunning and full of beautiful beaches, woods, moors and skies to explore. Gower has just been designated as part of the Dark Sky Community due to the low lighting and is a wonderful place to view the stars - you'll be able to do that right outside the apartment.
