Chocolate box Cottage in the heart of Devon

Jasmine cottage is a cosy 17th century Devonshire thatched cottage with everything you need for a short break or relaxing week or two away. Perfect for romantic couples or family getaways, ideally situated for country walks, cycling & exploring beautiful Dartmoor. The north Devon and Cornish coast is just under an hour drive. With a log burner for cosy winter nights in, and a lovely shingle garden for sunny afternoons. Comfortably sleeps up to 2 adults and 2 children. The space The entire space is yours; a comfy king size bed, fully equipped kitchen, wood burner with original bread oven and cute shorty bunk beds for the kids - all wrapped up in the cosiest of English Country Cottages. It is in a very rural location, surrounded by a small village and farmland. Shops and pubs are a short 10 minute drive away, the nearest twin of Okehampton is 20 minutes by car. Please note that the bathroom looks beautiful but is actually quite quirky (all style and no substance). A shower over a round end, freestanding bath is pretty tricky to make watertight… The secure garden is laid to gravel but is a pleasant space to sit outside on summer evenings. Guest access 1 small parking space to the rear, your own front door and no shared spaces! Other things to note This cottage is NOT suitable for those with mobility issues due to the shower in the bath and the steep stairs. The cottage is cosy and compact but has everything you need for a great stay, a well stocked kitchen, small dining area and lovely outside space. We will provide everything you need for the first log fire, please bring newspaper, kindling and logs for the rest of your stay. Access to the second bedroom is through the master bedroom. Well behaved dogs and owners are welcome, we would prefer them to stay off the furniture and beds if possible (the dogs haha!) Barbecues/fire pits/chimineas or candles are not permitted due to the Thatched roof on the cottage.
