Olive’s Hut with Wood Fired Hot Tub

This is due to Wessex Water carrying out some upgrade work to their site next to Pipplepen Glamping. More information below. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any queries regarding this! Please not this will NOT affect water supply to the hut at any point. From April 2026, Wessex Water will be carrying out some upgrade work to its site to the south west of Pipplepen Glamping. This project is expected to last for up to 12 months, with work taking place on weekdays - Monday to Friday - not on weekends or bank holidays. While contractors may arrive between 7.00 - 9.00am, no work on the site or compound will begin before 8.30am. The work would finish by 4pm, with the compound closed down by 6pm. The Wessex Water site is some distance away from Pipplepen Glamping, so any disturbance or disruption should be minimal. Access to the construction compound, which will be in the field adjacent to the Wessex Water site, will be via the access track that runs alongside Pipplepen Glamping, therefore, there may be some occasional increased vehicle movements along this track at times during weekday working hours. Wessex Water apologises for any inconvenience caused. Olive’s Hut's contains a hob, small fridge, kettle, toaster, glassware, cookware, crockery & utensils. The hut has a double bed and en-suite shower room. Bedding, towels & bathrobes are provided. Please bring extra towels for the hot tub if required. Fire pit with grill included. You will be able to enjoy your own private outside space with small fire pit. As the hut is located on a working farm, you will enjoy lots of the local wildlife (and a sheep or two) from your own front door. If you are celebrating a special occasion whilst staying with us please do let us know. Located just 20 minutes from the Jurassic Coast it is the perfect location to explore Dorset. There are a number of pubs and restaurants in the local area. Pipplepen Glamping is located on the Parrett Trail with lots of excellent walks. Other things to note: If you would like use of the wood fired hot tub there is an additional charge of £20 per stay, payable a week before arrival (we will be in touch regarding payment). A small basket of logs will be provided for use with the log burner and hot tub. More are available to purchase. The hot tub takes 2-4 hours to heat up. We will provide you with instructions on how to get the fire going and hot tub up to temperature. Two bathrobes provided when hiring the hot tub. Unfortunately we are unable to accept arrivals after 9pm. Whilst we provide detailed instructions, as well as what3words locations for both the parking & hut, we appreciate that some guests still struggle to locate us. Due to having a young family we cannot guarantee we are contactable late at night should you struggle to find us. There is a 2 night minimum stay. Check in days are Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays & Sundays. Check in time is from 3pm - 9pm and check out 10am. On some occasions we may have 1 night stays available, checkout time is 12pm for 1 night stays. Pipplepen Glamping is situated approx 50m away from the car parking area. The owner will be happy to assist with carrying your luggage to the hut and there will also be a wheelbarrow available to use. Due to our rural location a car is essential. Please note public transport is very limited in the area & taxis must be pre-booked. If your dates are booked we have a second hut located further down the field with outside bath (also bookable on Airbnb). Both huts are very private from one another and spaced well apart. We do accept bookings of 4 adults in both huts. Don't forget your wellies!
