Bedroom 2 offers lovely views and a flexible queen or twin bed set-up. The space Bedroom 2 is a comfortable, well-presented guest room for up to two people; ideal for couples, friends or solo travelers wanting a peaceful base in the Duddon Valley. The bed can be arranged as spacious queen or twin beds, depending on what works best for your stay. The room has lovely views over the surrounding valley, creating a calm place for you to relax after a day of walking, cycling or exploring South Cumbria. Guests have their own en-suite shower room with toilet. Useful touches include a SMART TV, tea and coffee-making facilities and complimentary dressing gowns and slippers for use during your stay. Guest access Guests have private use of their own secure bedroom and shared use of the dining room, conservatory, outdoor seating area and boot room. Drying facilities are available if needed, making this a practical choice after a day out walking, cycling or exploring. Please note there are no cooking facilities available for guest use. During your stay Paul and Denise will be here to welcome you on arrival and will be around for most of your stay should you need anything. They know the Duddon Valley and surrounding area extremely well and are happy to offer suggestions for walks, cycle routes, local places to eat and days out across South Cumbria, the West Lakes and the coast. A local walks pack is also available in the room for guests to use during their stay. Other things to note Traveller's Lodge is in a peaceful, rural location in the Duddon Valley, just over two miles from the well-known Newfield Inn where guests can enjoy real ales, freshly cooked food and a scenic beer garden. The market town of Broughton-in-Furness is a short drive away, with pubs, cafes, butchers, grocers, bakery, local information centre, post office, curio shops and petrol station. Please note the petrol station is not open 24 hours. The lodge sits near the foot of Birker Fell road, giving good access to Eskdale, the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, Wasdale, Scafell Pike and the west coast, including St Bees, Whitehaven and Workington. To the south, guests can explore the Coniston Fells including the Old Man of Coniston. Packed lunches are available on request for a small charge. House cats live at Traveller's Lodge, so unfortunately pets can not be accepted.
