A fishermans cottage in the heart of St Ives

Fishermans Cottage is a Grade II listed traditional terraced house located in the Downalong area of St Ives. Every room tastefully gives a home from home feel with the added touches of St Ives artwork. St Eia Street is one of the quieter streets of the Downalong area, yet within a very short walk of Porthmeor and Porthgwidden beaches and also the town centre. The space Fishermans Cottage comfortably accommodates six people over four floors. Through the front door via a small fore garden with bistro table and two chairs, you enter the large open plan kitchen/dining room with a gas range cooker, an instant hot water tap, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Ample seating for six people around the dining table makes a great entertaining and socialising space, all complete with our infamous Cornishware blue and white stripe crockery. With additional seating in the bay window this is really a great spot to rest or contemplate your next day out or hidden gem to explore whilst visiting St. Ives and beyond. The ground floor has a shower room with double headed shower, WC and wash basin. The sitting room can be found on the first floor and is furnished with two large sofas, arm chairs, foot stool, TV, DVD player and a Wii game console. Up the stairs of Fishermans Cottage to the second floor there are two bedrooms, a king size bedroom with TV and a twin bedroom with two single beds. The family bathroom is located on this floor with shower over bath facilities, WC and wash basin. On the third and final floor is the primary bedroom with king size bed, TV and en suite shower room. This loft room also has lovely sea views towards Porthminster beach. Pets are not permitted to stay, apologies. We can arrange for a high chair and/or travel cot to be put up in the cottage for an additional £10 per item if you are travelling with an infant. Other things to note What we provide: Bed linen for all beds. Bath towels & hand towels for 6 guests. Tea towels, oven cloth and a bath mat for each bathroom. A double length toilet roll per bathroom. Hand soap, washing up liquid, anti bacterial spray, bleach. (Please note we do not provide shampoo, conditioner or shower gel due to personal preference and/or allergies) Dish cloth, sponge, dishwasher tablets. (Please note we do not provide washing detergent/pods due to personal preference and/or allergies) Oil, salt, pepper, pint of milk, tea bags, coffee sticks and sugar sticks. As this is self catering accommodation, once provisions have run out you would be expected to buy more for your own use during your stay. Please note: The cottage does not have a parking space and there is no free on street parking. We do however have a few off site parking spaces (20 minute walk away) which we can book out alongside a reservation at Fishermans Cottage for an additional fee.
