Private Chalet by Trümmelbach Falls

A PRIVATE GETAWAY in the middle of UNESCO Jungfrau-Aletsch - ideal for families, couples and friends who just want to enjoy fantastic views around the house or like to explore the region hiking, walking, climbing, skiing, paragliding and rafting. The TYPICAL SWISS CHALET is situated in the middle of the Valley of 72 Waterfalls. Only minutes away from the 2 BIG SKI AND HIKING AREAS: Schilthorn - Mürren and Grosser Scheidegg - Männlichen - Wengen. The space The beautiful Swiss Chalet with the COMFORTS OF TODAY'S LIVING offers a SONOS sound system, free fast WiFi, Cable and Satellite TV, a Blue Ray and 2 DVD Player. -First floor A small stairway brings you to the middle floor of the house. Here you find the fully equipped kitchen, the living room with dining space and fireplace, one of the bedrooms (kingsize bed 180x200) and a bathroom with a walk-in shower, a washbasin and a toilet. From the living room, you can enter the balcony, from which you can enter the garden with terrace and outside fireplace. The wood for the 2 fireplaces is free. -Second floor On the top floor of the chalet, you will find 2 bedrooms, the main bathroom with bathtub, a walk-in shower, 2 washbasins and a toilet, as well as an open lounge space. In the main bedroom en-suite, we offer a double bed (160x200). Just across the hallway, you will find a bedroom with 4 single beds (90x200). The lounge with 2 latex mattresses in the open lounge space, can also be used for 2 people to sleep on. Bedding itself is possible for 10 people. For the little ones, we offer two child beds (60x120 cm). One full baby bed with slats and the second one is a travelling version, but also with a good mattress. We can put them up for you, together with a baby bath and a high chair. -Ground floor The ground floor offers, beside a washer and a dryer, a soccer table. On this floor, you will also find an extra fridge, an extra freezer, a microwave and shelves for extra storage. Here you can put your ski’s, ski shoes, mountain bikes and suitcases. -The balcony, garden, terrace From the balcony and from the garden you have an amazing view. For you to enjoy this in comfort, you can use the electric sun blind, covering the whole balcony, or you can use the electric heather. In the garden, you find seating for 10 people, an outdoor fire place and a charcoal grill. - Parking The chalet offers parking space for 3 cars directly at the house. More cars can be parked at the parking of the Trümmelbach Falls. The walk from the house is 400 meters (app. 3-4 min). -Bedding and towels For each person, you will have a summer- and winter-duvet 150x200 with pillow, as well as one towel 100x150, one towel 50x100 and one wash cloth 30x30. Guest access You will have access to the whole house with indoor fire place, the surrounding garden with outdoor fire place and grill and to the 3 private parking spaces. Other things to note Frequently asked questions (1-4): 1.Do I have to pay local taxes? Yes. Taxes adults CHF 3.40 per night, children 6 – 16 CHF 1.20 per night. Children under the age of 6 are free of taxes. The guest tax card gives you reduction on several tourist attractions: 10% Trümmelbach Falls, 33% Valley Museum Lauterbrunnen (‘Talmuseum’), 10% rent Tennis court, 25% Cable Car Isenfluh – Sulwald, free use of ice rink and cross country skiing trail. For more reductions ask the local tourist office. 2.Does the house have privacy? The house itself offers a lot of privacy. But still it is easy accessible from the road. The distance to the first neighbor is 200m. The neighbor at the other side is the village Lauterbrunnen itself, which is approximately 1,5 km from the house. The views that you can see on the website, are the views directly from the house itself. See the photos 21 ,22 and 23: the neighbor's house is behind the second row of trees in the middle. In summer, their terrace is at the other side of their house. During the day, others can’t look in the windows. At night, there are no street lights. When the lights in the house are one, you can close the curtains. There are curtains in front of all windows, except for the kitchen. Here you can close the blinds. But these windows are high and facing the woods, so nobody can look in. If you want, there are blinds for all windows. 3.Is the house quiet? The house is easy accessible from the road. This is the road, which comes from Lauterbrunnen and goes past the famous Trümmelbach Falls, to the end of the valley. If you are in the house, you can hardly hear the passing cars, but if you go outside you will see and hear them. 4.How is the bedding at the house? We have full beds for 8 people. In two rooms, you find 6 beds 90x200 (1x 4 and 1x 2). In the master bedroom, there is one bed 160x200. Two more mattresses are present. They are of very good quality, but on the floor as visible on picture 17 on the website. Bedding itself is of course for 10. For each person you will have a summer- and winter-duvet 150x200 with pillow and towels.
