Served by good public transport links by bus, train and boat. The space The original cottage was part of a house (with the adjoining property) owned by the Coysh family until the late 1800's. Thomas Henry Coysh served alongside Nelson in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Coysh square is a delightful little courtyard which has the only surviving washhouse in Topsham, where locals would have come to wash their clothes. Being so close to the high street and waterfront, yet set back in a courtyard makes this an ideal base to explore Topsham and the surrounding area from. The property is ideal for solo travellers, couples and families with up-to 2 children. The second bedroom is small with bunk beds so best for 2 smaller children or one older one/adult. The cottage has a cosy lounge with woodburner and TV/DVD player. Also downstairs is the the bathroom with a bath and a shower. It has a well equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar for 2. A small outdoor terrace provides seating for 2-3. Guest access You will have sole use of the whole property, the car parking space and a terraced area outside. Other things to note Sorry but the property is not suitable for wheelchair users due to small steps at ground level and a staircase to the first floor. The second bedroom is quite small with a bunk bed - 2ft 6in wide. Larger adults may find this too small. The property does not have a washing machine or tumble dryer, but you can dry clothes in the courtyard. The bathroom is downstairs. The stairs are a little steeper than normal. The parking space is suitable for smaller cars only. Cars like a Ford Focus, Vauxhall Astra, Fiat Punto are fine. Larger cars will need to be parked elsewhere - we provide details in our house manual.
