Restored to a high standard, this Charentaise property has many stylish features. It boasts beautiful gardens, large swimming pool, oak beams and limestone-tiled floors. Pre covid the property was rented as two Gîtes but we are now offering as one unit thus giving you exclusive use of the pool and grounds. It consists of 5 double bedrooms with two en-suite and two additional showers rooms plus a separate wc and a small bunk room. The space The Maison de Maitre has five double bedrooms and a small bunk room suitable for two small children. Two bedrooms have en-suite showers. In addition there are two further showers and a separate WC. There are two kitchens and two sitting areas with TV and WiFi . The property is therefor ideally suited to an extended family or shared with friends thus enabling you to have exclusive use of the ground and pool ( other than the owners who reside on site in the converted barn but have their own space and keep a low profile during the letting period) Guest access Guests have the use of the garden extending to over 2 acres with many places to relax. We have created a quarter mile walk around our adjoining field which we are gradually turning into a wild flower trail. The 10 x 5 metre swimming pool has a large secluded sun terrace. It has an abri cover which maintains the temperature (via solar power) to around 29 to 30 degrees in the summer. The Pool has been recently relined and fenced (for security) so we can remove the Abri subject to the weather and use a summer cover which has made it much easier for our guests. Other things to note Whilst located in a small hamlet surrounded by beautufull countryside we are less than a mile from the shopping facilities in Savigne which boasts two large supermarkets, and patisserie, organic butchers two cafe/restaurants and a bar plus an array of out of town style shops. A short walk will take you into the historic town of Civray with more bars and restaurants, where they hold a market every Tuesday and Friday.
