Tucked away on the edge of Trelonk Estate and on the fringe of the River Fal, The Brickworks Cottage is the perfect destination to achieve feelings of peace and tranquillity. Surrounded by greenery, wildlife and stunning views, you will experience a truly calming experience here. The space You will be enchanted by the quirky idyllic location of the Brickworks cottage. A two bedroom cottage in the Cornish Countryside, with a private quay to the River Fal. You will be spoilt with wildlife, stunning views and a truly peaceful escape.​ The cottage has some lovely character features with a BBQ on the patio surrounding the property. Creating the perfect setting for a relaxing atmosphere. The cottage itself is built on the grounds of an old brickworks. A brickwork existed on the perimeter of the Trelonk Estate, on the edge of the Fal estuary between 1891 and 1907. The china clay extraction led to tons of quality clay being washed down the river. The lost clay was dredged from the river and mixed with other components to form bricks. Today, all that is left is the tall chimney once used to draw air through the kilns to keep the temperature rising, and the silt in the ground. Two spacious bedrooms, one double bed and one queen size provide a place to rest after a busy day exploring all Cornwall has to offer. The open style living space allows you to cook up a hearty meal, to then be eaten around the dining table or in the cosy living room, around the fire and with the Sky TV on, watching all your favourite prime time shows. The bathroom which is located on the ground floor has a shower, bath and all your basic amenities. Guest access Guests are free to roam the Brickworks cottage area, although we do have restrictions to other parts of our estate. Once you have arrived at the estate our concierge team will inform you of those restrictions. Other things to note Trelonk Estate is also home to our very own Hedgerow Café, where we can offer you breakfast, lunch and dinner or if you would prefer to pop by and relax with a cup of tea or a glass of wine, we are here to welcome you! Looking for activities whilst you're here: The home of Presentation Spitfires (Parnall Aircraft Company) is based near the cottage. The team there host open days for £20. "Immerse yourself in the history of spitfires with guided access to our hangar and learn about our new constructions and restoration of the St Ives MK5B Spitfire.
