Jacob Cottage is situated in the heart of Gower in the pretty village of Parkmill, within walking distance of the internationally acclaimed beach Three Cliffs Bay. The cabin is nestled among the trees in a quiet location along a single track lane. It has been lovingly designed as a unique space to unwind and enjoy the local area. Every detail and design feature has been thought through – Anglepoise lamps, Toast wool cushions, Ercol table and chairs, Welsh slate floor to name but a few. The space Jacob Cottage has been lovingly designed to suit the needs of your trip to Gower. The accommodation comprises of a double bedroom upstairs (the roof is sloping so headroom is lower in some places). Downstairs there is an open plan lounge / dining room / kitchen and a separate bathroom with a powerful drencher shower. The kitchen is fully equipped (including a dishwasher) and the lounge has a Charnwood stove which is perfect for cosy evenings in. There is a double sofa bed in the lounge which can sleep an extra 2 people if necessary (making it very cosy). Outside there is a garden and outdoor kitchen which makes the perfect spot for drinking sundowners at the end of the day. There is a fire bowl and grill which guests can use for outdoor entertaining as well as an outdoor gas stove and Gozney pizza oven. The outdoor kitchen makes a great space for cooking breakfast or even an evening meal as there is a full set of pans for cooking and enamel tableware. There is outdoor lighting to make cooking easier and provide atmosphere. It is a great place to hang out and relax. There is also an undercover seating area outside with full electrics and a heater. The cabin is adjoined to the main house where the owners live. This is a wonderful spot for both a couple’s retreat or a family holiday. If bringing children then please note the staircase inside is quite steep so can be tricky for toddlers who are just learning to walk. NO PETS ALLOWED. Other things to note As the weather in Wales can change hourly it’s always best to pack wellies, a waterproof and of course a bather for the beach! There is no street lighting on the lane leading to the property so a torch can be handy too.
