Guest access The farm is surrounded by a 23 hectares garden; guests have access to a 13x6 swimming pool with amazing view on San Giminano, to a common laundry and to a car parking. The access to poperty land is free and the forest with a small river allows to make "in house" nice excursions and light trekking activities. Before making an excursion, please ask us about suggestions and warnings. Other things to note All our accommodations are offered in a self-catering mode. We do not provide any meals as a standard, and breakfast is optional, but guests are free to cater for themselves. The double rooms (Margherita, Oleandro, Ulivo) are equipped with a fridge and microwave only (no stovetops or kettles), while the two-bedroom apartments have a semi-equipped kitchen with four burners (not all apartments have an oven). The two-bedroom apartments come with basic kitchenware, including pots and pans, allowing you to prepare simple, traditional Italian dishes, but there are no blenders or other electric tools for preparing more elaborate meals. Basic condiments such as oil, vinegar, and others are not provided. Breakfast and daily cleaning are not included but can be arranged upon request for an additional fee. A shared laundry room with a washing machine, ironing tools, and drying racks is available for free (due to allergy concerns, detergent is not provided). Guests are kindly asked to use the 30-minute quick cycle and avoid doing multiple loads in one day, to ensure that everyone has access. WiFi is available throughout the property (speed 100/40 Mbps), suitable for remote working. However, please note that the connection may be affected during thunderstorms, as we are located in the countryside. The pool is open seasonally from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM, with a short cleaning break at 1:30 PM. It is a place to relax, not for loud/ dangerous activities or diving. No air conditioning is available, but ceiling or mobile fans are provided. Thanks to our hilltop location, temperatures usually drop at night, even in summer. However, in recent years, we have experienced some hot days and nights in July or August. Towels and linen are provided with a free weekly change. Extra changes are available for €5 per person. Pool towels are not included, so please bring your own. The property is surrounded by nature. Mosquitoes are not always present, but we strongly recommend bringing a repellent in late spring and summer. You may also see other small insects and spiders; they are harmless and non-venomous, playing a beneficial role in maintaining the balance of nature around us. Tourist tax: €2.50 per person per night (14+), for a maximum of 5 nights (€12.50 total), please to be paid in cash upon arrival. Airbnb can't collect it here. Heating is not included, but a small daily quota is provided for free: only additional use is charged (€5 per extra m³). We have a number of hairdryers available, provided free of charge upon request. They are not in the rooms, as we cannot have more than 15KW of power and would not be able to manage fourteen 2KW hairdryers at the same time. Public transportation: Montegonfoli Farm is reachable by bus (line 133), and many guests have used this option. However, please note that although the bus stop is very close to the farm, there are only a few buses per day, and no buses operate on Sundays and holidays. On Sundays, buses are available on line 130 to San Gimignano, but the closest stop is 3 km away (35-minute walk). We can suggest a local car rental that picks you up at the station for a small fee, directly with your car. This room has a dining table outdoors, as well tables in a shared area, but does not include a kitchen or a formal dining area.
