Welcome to our cosy Welsh miner's cottage, nestled at the base of Snowdon into the Llanberis Pass. Boasting stunning views of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and easy access to all the local attractions within Snowdonia National Park, our charming property now features a unique outdoor spa area, Ty Bach Poeth! Emerse yourself in our wood-burning sauna and cool off in our cast iron plunge bath. Experience the perfect blend of traditional charm and modern comfort during your stay. The space Our charming cottage is the perfect combination of a traditional welsh miners' cottage with all the modern amenities. Made of stone, with thick exposed walls throughout and a traditional welsh slate flagstone floor. On the ground floor, you'll find: - Open-plan kitchen area & dining space, perfect for socializing and cooking up tasty meals and equipped with everything you will need to make all your favourite dishes. Large 6 seater dining table. - Living area with log burning fire, perfect for cosy evenings. Smart QLED Samsung TV with Samsung Soundbar (Bluetooth compatible). Comfy sofas to cwtch up in with enough space to comfortably seat 6 guests. - Southward-facing conservatory with seating, offering dramatic mountain views -Utilities/storage room Upstairs on the first floor: - Two spacious bedrooms. Bedroom one, the Green Room has two single beds and looks over the Glyders & the Unesco World Heritage site of the slate quarries. Bedroom two, the Blue Room has one double bed and looks up at the Snowdon Massif. Both rooms come with USB charging ports. If you fall asleep with the window open in room 2; you can listen to the sound of the river that runs behind the house and wake up to the sound of the morning bird song. - Family bathroom with a shower and a gorgeous roll-top bath, positioned in front of a large window overlooking Crib Goch and the mountains. Handmade magnesium and organic lavender bath salts provided for a soothing post-hike soak. On the top floor: - Bedroom 3*. Our loft bedroom. A light and very peaceful space. When lying in bed you can fall asleep whilst looking up through the Velux window at the stars and wake to the sun rising over the view of Crib Goch through the treetops. *Please note that this room only has access via a steep ladder and is not suitable for children (12 & under), the elderly or people over 120kg. We ask these guests to use the first-floor bedrooms only. This room should only be considered for adults who are able to confidently climb a ladder. Please see images. Garden/Spa Area: Offset to the rear of the property you will have access to the garden**. The charm of these old mining cottages means the garden is located several steps away from the back of the cottage. Here you will find, -fire pit with seating and a dining area with pub style picnic bench. You are welcome to use our BBQ and enjoy some alfresco dining. We also have deck chairs for lazing back in the sunshine. - Ty Bach Poeth. New for 2023, our spa area is complete with a wood-burning sauna that comfortably accommodates 6-8 people and features a changing room. A cast iron cold plunge bath for a cold water experience amidst breathtaking surroundings. Solar panel-powered lighting for an eco-friendly experience and benches to relax on and take in the majestic beauty of Snowdonia's landscape. - Grass Area & Bug Hotel. Perfect for little ones with space for them to run around in and explore (please don't disturb our garden guests). The sunsets and views of the Llanberis pass from the garden are really special and will be sure to add a touch of magic to your stay. ** Please note that although our garden is enclosed, it is not fully dog proof. Cats and sheep roam freely around the village and we ask that dogs are kept on a lead and in your control at all times, please keep this in mind before booking Nearby attractions and activities include: - The Vaynol Arms Pub: 150m away - Snowdon Park and Ride: 2 mins - Llanberis: 3 mins - Pen-y-Pass: 6 mins - Llyn Padarn: 5 minutes - Llanberis Slate Mine (Dinorwig Quarry): 10 mins - Caernarfon: 18 mins - Beddgelert: 19 mins - Tryfan: 20 mins - Zip World: 20 mins - Bangor: 20 mins - Anglesey: 20 mins - Blaenau Ffestiniog: 40 mins - Portmeirion: 39 mins - Coed Y Brenin: 55 mins Guest access Parking for the property is directly in front of the house and although there is not any formal parking restriction in the village, we request that guests only leave one car outside the property. This is due to limited parking space in the village and the resulting knock on effect for the neighbors and their cars. Please speak to Allie should you wish to bring a secondary car. Other things to note Please note although well behaved and fully trained dogs are welcome in our home. Guests wishing to add a dog to their booking will be charged £20 per dog, per stay, with a maximum of two dogs; this covers the additional deep clean. Dogs are not to go upstairs or on furniture and we ask that you please bring your dog bed. All mess should be cleared and disposed of before checkout. Dog fouling and damage to the wooden floors or furniture will be charged.
