The smallest of the Casas in the retreat of Case Del Vivaio it offers privacy in its own private outdoor area whilst still enjoying access to all the shared facilities and gardens. Equipped kitchen for home cooking and a small living room with TV and sofabed. Fully air-conditioned. The space A holiday retreat half a mile from Sciacca, sitting about 650 feet up legend-laden Mt. Kronio, Case del Vivaio offers stunning views over the Mediterranean coastline and countryside from its terraced gardens extending over 6500 square feet. The estate is home to five case (from 160 to 300 square feet) a gated swimming pool, and a park comprising many varieties of exotic plants. Wheelchair friendly. Le Case del Vivaio is within five miles from Sciacca’s peaceful beaches and a mere half-mile from its historic town centre, marina and thermal baths. The medieval arabo-norman wonders of Palermo and the Ancient Greek temples of Agrigento and Selinunte are all within more or less an hour’s drive from our resort. Guest access Our gated, outdoor swimming pool sits on the outer edge of our Belvedere, offering breath-taking views over the surrounding hills and coastline. The pool is 10x5m, 130cm deep. It affords relief during the hottest hours of the day and, with its comfortably large solarium, also a relaxing way to enjoy the sunset at dawn. Formerly a home to our many tropical plants, the greenhouse was recently converted into a drawing room and library. This is the place where guests can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea at all hours of the day. The room offers an espresso coffee machine, a French press and about twenty flavours of tea - Pascale is a tea aficionado and addict! Among other things, the room also offers a few hundred books for adults and children in English, French, German and - of course - Italian, a PC with internet access, a huge collection of music CDs and movies on DVD, various musical instruments, a number of board-games; and even a telescope! Guests are welcome to relax in the drawing room and to use or borrow its contents whenever they like at no extra charge. Our case and villa are nested in gardens covering over 6,500 square feet. On the western edge of the property, a large terrace we call the belvedere offers views over the surrounding landscape, enclosed between Mt. Rocca Nadore on one side and the sea on the other, where the sun sets. In between, olive groves, wineyards and traditional Sicilian plantations extend over thousand of hectares on the horizon. All along the belvedere and extending throughout the property are our gardens, featuring hundreds of varieties of exotic plants. The edges are set by the gated outdoor swimming pool on one side, and by a playground for the enjoyment of our younger guests on the other. In between, over a large lawn and around our red fish's own small pond, our guests can enjoy the cool mountain breeze sitting over a drink, or watch the sun set in the evening from one of our hammocks. A few metres from the gardens on a countryside footpath, our guests will find an organic orchard and olive grove, as well as three egg-laying chicken.
