The bedroom has a smart HD TV with streaming services and a Dish Satellite TV to enjoy a movie while cuddling up in our comfortable bed. The upstairs living space has a sofa with a queen bed and a day bed with two twins. It also has a 4K big-screen Sony TV with various streaming services to enjoy movies with your family. For those rainy days, we have several board games for you to enjoy in the credenza below the TV. The balcony has two rocking chairs overlooking the lake, where you can enjoy your morning coffee or read a book, take in the surroundings, and watch the ducks and loons playing in the lake. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook for your family and all the spices you might need. If something is not there and you might need it, please ring the doorbell at our house and ask us. If we have it, we will happily share it with you. The full bathroom upstairs comes with a Bluetooth speaker built-in to the exhaust fan for you to enjoy music while you shower or while you are cooking. The deck overlooking the water has an outdoor table with an umbrella and seating for six people in season. On those chilly evenings, there is a patio heater to keep you cozy. We have an outdoor firepit. Enjoy a campfire with your family. It's perfect for roasting marshmallows with the kids, a wonderful end to your day after all the fun you had at our place. The front door Patio area has a BBQ grill and another table with four chairs. We also have a gazebo with a fire table with four chairs where you can sit at night, have a glass of wine, and enjoy your evening. It comes with a bug netting curtains to the bugs away. The beach and waterfront access are just a step away, with outdoor chairs and chaise lounges and two offset umbrellas for shade for those hot, sunny, humid days at the beach. We have two single kayaks, one tandem kayak, two paddleboards, a canoe, and life jackets from infant to size 4 XL for your safety. Anyone aged 13 or under in New Hampshire must wear a life jacket on board any NH vessel. Everyone else is advised to wear a life jacket while using our kayaks or at least have one with them. Please put Kayaks back on the kayak stand when they are not in use. Please don't leave kayaks half in water and half in beach as wakes from boats will cause them to float away. We also have a bin filled with beach toys and noodles for the kids to use and enjoy. Please be careful with toys and or floats as they can blow away or float away from the beach. We ask that you please put away where you found it before you leave the beach area. Please do not leave the beach umbrellas open if not in use, as we have strong wind gusts that can blow them away unexpectedly. The boat is not part of the rental, and please respect our property and do not play with the controls or board the boat.) NH requires a fishing license for all to fish on the lake, and Marine Patrol could fine you if you don't have one. Belleau Lake has some trophy bass and other species for anglers to enjoy. Fishing licenses, plus fishing tackle and bait, can be purchased around the corner at the New Deal Store or the General Store. When the lake is frozen in the winter, you can enjoy skating, snowshoeing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling. Wakefield is a big snowmobiling destination with many trails. The Seven Lakes Snowmobile Club in town maintains 90 miles of wooded trails. ATVs and UTV trails are accessible in nearby surrounding towns a short distance away. The house comes with a whole-house generator for any unforeseen power outages. Guest access We have two parking spots on our property for your cars, please park in front of the two designated spots marked Carriage House parking only, so you don't block us in. The entry doors have keypads and you will be given your own unique four-digit code to enter the Carriage House. When you shut the doors as you exit they will lock on their own after 10 seconds. Other things to note Please do not use the white bath towels in the Carriage House as beach towels. We have beach towels for your personal use. Please do not throw trash in the trash cans in the house without a trash liner. Plenty of trash bags are under the bathroom and kitchen sinks. Before your departure, please bring all inside trash bags, put them in the outdoor black trash barrel on the deck, and put the bungee cord over lid to prevent the raccoons from getting into the trash, or take them to the trash stand in the driveway and do the same. Please ensure a clear trash liner in the barrel before dumping your trash and putting a bungee over it. Our trash service will not take it if no bungee is on the bin lid. Unfortunately, we don't have recycling with our trash service. Please put all dirty linens and towels in the laundry bag provided and or in front of the washing machine so they can be cleaned for the next guest. If you use the air conditioners during the summer, please leave the thermostat at 75 degrees before departing. If AC's are in use a snowflake will be in the display of the remote. Please do not open doors or windows while the air conditioners are in use. Also, keeping the blinds shut when not in the house will help the air conditioners work and cool the space better. Please close all the blinds before your departure. Please do not switch off the heat on your departure in the winter months. Please lower the thermostats to 55 degrees when you leave so we don't waste heat. Thermostat remote should display sun icon if in heat setting. The lake house has a delicate septic system, so please do not throw tampons or sanitary napkins in the toilets and flush them. Please dispose of the trash can in the bathroom. Please also avoid sending garbage or food bits down the kitchen sink. To protect our septic system, please throw all leftover bits on your plates in the trash before washing your plates or dishes. Please be aware that fireworks are illegal in Wakefield, one of four towns in New Hampshire. We have a vacuum cleaner and other cleaning products available if you need to clean up something. We also have a handheld battery-operated blower, as we have a lot of pine trees around the house that keep dropping pine needles, and it's easiest to use the blower to blow them away, especially on the upper balcony or the outdoor table/deck area. The charger for the battery will be with the blower, and you can plug it in if the battery needs charging. Please don't leave the battery charger plugged in when not in use or after the battery is fully charged, as it might overheat and be a fire hazard.
