Beach Views Cottage, Portland - Stunning & Cosy

Our amazing beach views cottage has stunning views from nearly every window. Even though it’s over 200 years old, we’ve kitted it out with some modern touches and technology. It was once a larger dwelling which has been divided into two. As water sports lovers, we've kitted it out for our own benefit which includes an outside shower and drying room for sailing, paddle boarding kit etc, such as wetsuits. We love to sit on the decking all the time watching the sea and sunsets. The space Located in the Fortuneswell/Chiswell area of Portland, it's situated opposite Victoria gardens. We don't have our own parking space but there is free on street parking outside, although this is on a first come, first served basis and can be trickier at certain times of the day. Entering the cottage through the wooden gate, there is a small bistro area where you can sit and enjoy breakfast with views of the world famous Chesil Beach. Descending the steps, the outside shower room and drying room is perfect to wash off the salt from any water sport kit and the drying room also has hooks to securely lock up any bikes or gear. Coming through the entrance we have a downstairs bathroom (quite the norm in Portland) with separate shower and a well equipped kitchen. The lounge has stunning sea views and and from the front porch you can access the decking areas. We have a wall mounted smart TV alongside an Echo Dot to stream any music and to find out the local weather. On the first floor are 2 bedrooms, one double and one with 2 singles. One has views over Victoria Gardens and the other has fabulous sea views. The top luxury bedroom and en-suite is just stunning with its smart technology and LED feature lights in the en-suite. The best bit is the jaw dropping view out the window which gives the most amazing views from Chesil Cove all the way across Lyme Bay. Please note that the cottage has steep stairs in places and although it can sleep 6, the downstairs is snug if six adults are staying and is more suitable to four. Whilst under 12s are welcome please note the stairs are steep and most of the windows open wide, the garden is only enclosed at the bottom by a small stone wall. The decking is secured with a gate. Although we do have a minimum night stay, please contact us in the first instance if wanting a shorter stay, particularly in the winter months as we always try and accommodate requests. Guest access Entire Place Other things to note Although the cottage can accommodate 6 in the bedrooms, the downstairs living space is extremely snug for 6 adults. Parking directly outside can be tricky at certain times.
