The house is located in the village Lakithra of Livathos in the Fokata region. It is at the highest point of the village and offers a magnificent view of Argostoli bay and Ainos, the highest mountain of Kefalonia as well as St George Castle. The surrounding area of the house due to its view and location is called the Balcony of Fokata. The summer is particularly cool. At Lakithra village you can find minimarket, restaurant, patisserie and bakery. The space It is 12 minutes by car from the capital of the island, Argostoli. The house consists of a kitchen, dining room and living room. It has two bedrooms with a double bed and two single beds, while in the living room there is a sofa which can turn a single bed for a child. There is an oven and full kitchenware. The bathrooms and sink have continuous hot water from solar as well as electric water heater. Also there is exterior shower with hot water. It is surrounded by an old paved courtyard,a traditional wood-fire oven and a BBQ. All are in excellent working condition and available for use, given good weather conditions. The house has retained its traditional layout, having been built by French Architects after the 1953 earthquakes, and was recently renovated and decorated with some original antique furniture. In the yard (550 m2) there are roses and aromatic plants, typical of the Mediterranean nature (Lavender - Rosemary - Marjoram - Oregano - Meadow sage) and several trees (pomegranates, loquats , oranges, olives) as well as a garden with tomatoes and peppers that will provide you with the ability to enjoy the authentic Mediterranean summer flavors in absolute peace. Under the dense shade of vineyards, you can enjoy the magnificent view of the bay of Argostoli. It is located in a quiet and vegetated area of pine and olive trees, suitable for hiking or jogging and has also excellent access to the main road network. It is 10 minutes from the airport starting from Lakithra Square. The same route leads to Argostoli in 15 minutes as well as to sandy beaches adjacent to the airport (Minies-Spasmata-Avithos-Ai Helis, Ammes, etc.) in about 10 minutes. It is also very close to the famous beaches of Makris and Platis Gialos. Well-known supermarket brands (AB, Lidl, Cretan) are within 6 minutes. In the village, one can find bakeries, grill houses, and a pizzeria. It has a very good road connection with the rest of the island. Finally, it is very close to the Mycenaean tombs of the village (near the square) and the adjacent village of Mazarakata , where you can reach by car in 5 minutes.
