Clover Carriage with pool, sauna and outdoor bath

Nestled into our working farm, this lovingly restored railway carriage is the perfect spot for a romantic stay away. The views are out of this world and all viewable from the large glass doors so you can stay tucked up in bed or on the sofa in front of the fire, with great wifi, free access to our beautiful heate pool & sauna (located in the pool house), beautiful walks both from the carriage or a short drive to the coast path, pub lunches, sunsets, fairy lights and a romantic outdoor bath The space Stylishly and thoughtfully decorated, with a boutique kitchen hand-built from ash coppiced from our own farm, comfort and luxury is at the heart of Clover Carriage. You have shared parking, but no other facility is shared. Privacy is ensured with wattle fencing constructed by ourselves with hazel straight from the hedgerows around our farm around your garden without obstructing your view. The carriage is West-facing so the sunsets really are absolute magic and can be enjoyed from the comfort of your cosy bed, outdoor bathtub or the outdoor seating on the deck. We provide a multifunctional outdoor fire and BBQ, fully stocked with logs, kindling and firelighters and free access to the log store and all BBQ utensils (aside from charcoal as we prefer to BBQ over wood!). The perfect spot to watch the sunset and grill up some delicious treats, then add some extra logs and enjoy the warmth as the evening gets a bit chillier! The indoor wood burner is a high-quality little stove with a large glass door so you can see the flames with the door safely closed. It creates the cosiest atmosphere, especially with the fairy lights on! Your basic heating needs are taken care of by the underfloor heating during the colder months. The bathroom is just three steps to the side of the deck. All pathways are stepping stones so you'll never have to worry about ruining your shoes! The bathroom also has underfloor heating for the chillier months, plus a really efficient heated towel rail right beside the walk-in shower, so you have a toasty towel when you're done enjoying the spacious shower! We recently upgraded our fencing to beautiful, solid and private waney edge fencing and installed gorgeous outdoor bathtubs! There are beautiful walks straight from the door of the carriage, which I can talk you through when you check in :) Access to our beautiful heated outdoor pool (open seasonally) and sauna is completely free 24 hours a day - although the swimming pool is only open May-September. We've recently completely re-lined the pool and built the stunning poolhouse all from oak from the farm. It's a stunning place to hang out and cool off; the large covered seating area remains a perfect temperature even on the hottest days as the roof is insulated. The infrared sauna is just inside the pool house and remains open year-round. Guest access Best enjoyed with a car. Parking is on hardcore and gravel. If you'd prefer to travel via public transport please do be aware that although we are only 10-15 mins from Axminster station we are not on any bus routes so you'll need to be comfortable using taxi's to get around!
