Description
A rustic hideaway located in the Wiltshire Countryside. Set within an official Dark Sky Reserve, only the clouds will stand between you and the stars (best viewed from the wood-fired hot tub). Our two canvas tents and authentic shepherd hut make the perfect viewing platforms to spectate nature at its best. Everything is provided, from bed linen to kitchen utensils. All you need to do is nothing... Turn off your phone and take in the peace of our surroundings, the best antidote for a busy mind! The space Located on a hillside surrounded by wildflowers, woodlands and farmland, this entire 5 acre field is for your group only - no other guests will be onsite at the same time. Milton farm is a working farm, so dependant on the time of year and the weather, farming can be seen closeup. Being off-grid means there is limited heating in the tents so guests are provided with hot water bottles and blankets to keep you cosy, battery LED lamps are available to guide the way around the site at night. Woodlands Tent A roomy safari 'tent' set at the top of the hill, making the most of the sweeping views. It is close to the outdoor dining area, shower and surrounded by woodland so well sheltered from the elements. Sleeps up to 4 guests, 1 king bed and 2 singles (please specify if you would like the single beds adding to your reservation) Dog-Rose Tent High above the trees in it's own pocket of Woodland's Field sits beautiful Dog-rose bell tent. Very spacious with a private viewing balcony. Sleeps up to 4 guests, 1 king bed and 2 singles (please specify if you would like the single beds adding to your reservation) Shepherd Hut The shepherd's hut was built authentically by local farmer and owner of the field. Spacious, comfortable and heated by a wood burning stove. Comes with a farmhouse sink, running water, en-suite shower, sink and composting loo. Outdoor Dining This area, situated next to the shepherds hut at the top of the field under stretch canvas for shelter, with a dining table, gas stove, large cool box, outdoor kitchenette and an open firepit with seating. The site is ideal for three couples or two families (extra beds can be provided). Guest access The field is private and remote, set at the top of a steep hill and accessed by foot. We can drive you and your belongings up the hill in one of our vehicles when you arrive if you need. Otherwise let us know if you prefer to do a self checkin and Liv will send you instructions on how to find the site. Car parking is on a trackway at the bottom of the field. If the weather is dry it might be possible to drive all the way to the top. We need 30 min warning prior to your arrival so we can greet you (the site secluded and not visible from the road). Other things to note Please note the Woodford hot tub is an additional £50 to have serviced ready for your stay, this price includes logs and firefighters. Please let us know in advance if you’d like to use it. This is to be paid in cash upon arrival. If coming to stay during months (April, May, Oct), please bring warm and waterproof clothing and waterproof boots (with good tread / grip). The site is accessed by walking up a hill in a sometimes muddy field.
