Description
A large airy double bedroom (8m x 6m) complete with double bed, ensuite bathroom, double sofa bed and dressing table and single armchair. The sofa bed fold outs onto the floor, and is best suited to younger visitors. We also have a travel cot for babies. There is a TV in the room with a PS3 plus about 20 games. Secure bike storage is available inside the house. The space The room resides within a modern detached property, sitting a few strides away from the famed Cotswold Way walk, nestled against the side of Stinchcombe Hill. We are a 500m walk from the centre of the historic market town of Dursley. The house features high-speed broadband, and the room has tea and coffee making facilities. There is a TV with a built-in DVD player, which can also access streamed services such as the BBC iPlayer and ITV Hub. Ironing facilities are available in the room. Parking is situated outside of the house. Local amenities are plentiful, with Dursley experiencing a culinary explosion in recent years. There is a choice of an Italian restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, two curry houses and a tapas restaurant. Aside from these, pub food is available as well as fish'n'chips and chinese takeaway. Lighter bites and breakfasts are available on the high street, with a choice of 4 cafes. For longer stays Dursley also boasts a leisure centre with a gym and 25 metre pool, two 18 hole golf courses (Stinchcombe Hill and Cotswold Edge), a library, 5 pubs, 3 supermarkets and several convenience stores. Local attractions include Slimbridge Wetlands Trust, Berkeley Castle, and in the warmer months Cattle Country childrens theme park. For equestrian lovers we are short drive from the Beaufort Polo Club and the Badminton Horse Trials. Dursley is well connected, with the town being a short drive from the A38, which can be accessed from the M5 junction 13 at Stroud, or junction 14 at Thornbury. Alternatively the train station in Cam is only 3 miles away and buses run from the station to the centre of Dursley. Guest access You will be greeted upon your arrival, from that point you will have private access to and from the property via a side entrance with a secure key box, you can therefore come and go as you please. During your stay This is our family home, and you will be left in peace. However we will be around to help out with any ad-hoc requests during your stay.
