The nearest beach is Maenam beach which is also 5 minutes or 2 km drive. Fisherman's Village is 5.5 km from the villa and around a 10-15 minutes' drive. All the big supermarkets, like Lotus, Makro, and Big C, are 8 km away or an estimated 15-20 minutes drive from the villa. Central shopping mall, the biggest shopping mall in Koh Samui is 11 km from the villa and is around 20-25 minutes drive away. Chaweng Beach, the busiest nightlife area in Koh Samui is also 11 km from the villa and is around 20-25 minutes drive away. Koh Samui airport is 12 km from the villa and is a 25-30 minutes drive (Depending on traffic, can take longer at peak traffic hours). GETTING AROUND Scooter and Car Rental - I would say that having your own transport is best whilst staying at the villa and I recommend the use of a scooter or car for your stay. I can arrange this beforehand with my local rental service. They have good scooters with great prices, and excellent service. Taxi - also available, although the taxis in Koh Samui are quite expensive, which is one of the main reasons why I recommend renting a scooter or car for your stay. But, for those of you that don't need the stress of renting a vehicle and don't mind the expensive fares, this is an option. Driver Apps. This is a great way to get around Koh Samui, it’s usually cheaper than taxis and some of my guests have recommended Grab, Bolt, or InDrive. Download the apps to your phone and get a ride in minutes. Contact me for more details. I'm available 24/7. Guest access The accommodation is on the upper level and is completely private and self-contained. The lower floor is my apartment and is currently unoccupied. 5-minute drive to the beach, but the patio and the pool is the best place for peace and privacy. There is a new road to the villa which is not steep, so please ignore previous reviews stating it had a steep road, as we don't use the old steep road anymore. There's a laundry service close to the villa and is only a short 2-minute walk down the hill. For guests staying more than 7 days, cleaning, change of bed sheets and towels is free once a week. If extra cleaning, change of bed sheets, and towels is requested, the cost of the maid and the laundry is a total of 1000 Baht. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you need anything, from extra towels, or pillows to restaurant recommendations. Other things to note There will be a 6 Baht per unit charge for electricity used during your stay. Average cost is around 100-200 Baht per day, depending on how much you use. I will take a meter reading before and after your stay.
