Only a stone's throw away from the River Rhein (5 min drive) and adjacent to the Black Forest. This small but quaint Swiss village Mettau presents itself in a valley of mountains, offering picturesque sunsets combined with beautiful landscapes agreeable to travelers appreciating a soothing environment. The nearby village of both Swiss and German Laufenburg boasts a history of over 800 years, which is reflected in its rich architecture of houses dating back centuries ago, also great for shopping The space New Pull down Murphy Bed! Underfloor heating throughout, which gives a cosy feeling especially in winter. The views here are stunning. No matter what the weather it is a feast for the eyes and calming to the soul. We live in a hill terraced house, but there is a lift and only 1 flight of stairs to climb. It's a lovely location, approx 35 minutes drive to Zurich. Approx 35 mins to Basel (both times are longer during rush hour). Only 5 minutes drive to local towns of Laufenburg - Swiss / German. There are lovely local walks on our doorstep to the woods and open spaces. The train station is not far, 10- 15 mind by bus or 10 mins drive to Laufenburg. Also 20 mins by car to Brugg for trains to Zurich. Guest access Our luxury studio is fully self contained and has a front terrace area where the outdoors can be enjoyed. You have your own front door for access. Although the terrace/patio is shared, as it allows us access to our home next door. Please note that there is a flight of approx 20 steps to get from floor 3-4. Guests need to be able to walk up these stairs. Other things to note For longer stays we can provide access to laundry facilities.
