Located in the heart of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park, the house is at the foot of the Puy de Lavel, classified as a natural monument. 5 min from Champeix (all shops), 15 min from Issoire, 30 min from Clermont center. Ideal if you love nature, hiking, relaxation, calm. The space House made of local volcanic stones, ideally located to explore the many sites of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park, the Sancy Massif, the Puy chain (Puy de Dôme, Puy de Pariou, etc.), the Cezallier: peaks, lakes (Guéry, Pavin, Serviere, Chambon, etc.), waterfalls (Vaucoux, Grande Cascade, etc.), wonderful forests with varied essences, many small villages to discover with markets (Champeix, Montpeyroux, Saurier, Saint Floret, Saint Saturnin, Saint Nectaire, Montaigut le Blanc, etc.) and cities of character (Champeix, Besse, Murol and its castle, its knights, its medieval festivals, etc.). On the ground floor: Large living room open to the kitchen in stone and exposed beams, fireplace, cozy and comfortable living room overlooking the terrace, large wooden table for nice meals with family or friends. Small garden behind the house for children or to rest quietly, in peace. House fully equipped for your comfort: dishwasher, induction cooktop, washing machine, oven, Marantz hi-fi system for CD, Bluetooth speaker, (no channels on the TV but a nice TV with many DVDs for children, adults, etc., many books, tourist guides of the region, IGN maps, etc. Upstairs, three bedrooms and a rest or reading area overlooking the Issoirian valley. An adult bedroom on the mezzanine (privacy guaranteed) with a 160 cm bed overlooking the valley, a second adult bedroom with a 160 cm bed (memory foam mattress) overlooking the Puy de Lavel, a children's bedroom with 2 bunk beds of 90 cm for 2 children (many games, toys, books for the happiness of children). Free parking in the village just in front of the house. Wood is available in the garden. Not to be missed: climb to the top of the Puy de Lavelle, from where you will have a superb 360 view of the Sancy massif, the Puy de Dôme, the Puy chain, the Forez mountains. Natura 2000 classified area, geology, fauna, remarkable flora including endangered apollo butterflies, re-established. (microscope for budding adventurers...) The vacation rental is renovated in an old sheepfold which before was the old presbytery, of the chapel of the village. Good internet network in 3 and 4 G but no Wi-Fi code in the accommodation. No network issues with your smartphone. Please note there are no TV channels for sports matches, but cafes in the village offer match nights... on the other hand, there are many children's DVDs and movies for the whole family. Car or motorcycle essential. The village is located 5 km from Champeix which has all the amenities, local shops, supermarket, market, butcher and excellent confectioner chocolatier (ice cream is a treat in summer). Don't miss the climb to the Château de Champeix, Cité des Jardins and the Champeix candle shop which deserves a stop or an evening concert by the Pavîn couze in the village! You will have access to the entire house. Parking in front of the house or in front of the washhouse. If I am not on site, the family will welcome you, but I will be sure to communicate with you and guide you for your stay according to your tastes. The cottage is not occupied year-round, in winter, it can be cool when you arrive, the time that the fire and radiators heat the house but it is also Auvergne, the authentic, the real... Garden furniture, parasol, barbecue for your evenings under the stars. Many board games. Bathroom products left for you. Local products in the kitchen with all the basic products to taste, to use without moderation (just remember to leave coffee and milk when leaving, it's so nice for people who arrive after). Housekeeping not included, optional (75 euros) but I can arrange it on request. Let me know in advance if you want cleaning. Sheets are gladly lent for free, all you have to do is make the beds.
