First-floor flat with bright living room and kitchen and bright double bedroom located in a quiet street just off Easter Road. The flat has an internet connection, a small modern kitchen, and a comfortable bedroom. The fully equipped kitchen has a fridge, freezer, oven, kettle, toaster, microwave and washing machine. Iron and hairdryer are also provided. For parties of more than two, there is a sofa bed in the lounge and a dining table for up to four guests to use. The space Smoking Free Kitchen facilities: fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle, microwave oven, gas cooker with a gas oven. Lounge: sofa bed, desk, dining area within the living room - with table and chairs. Bedroom: very comfortable double bed, large mirrored wardrobes. There is a small bathroom/toilet, equipped with a power shower. Infant/baby-wise: we are happy to provide a high chair and cot with the straps - however, these are not normally stored in the flat so please make sure to let us know you need them. For other baby or infant equipment please enquire and we will see what we can do for you. Please note, there is a small room (box-room) currently out of order, awaiting renovation. It used to be a separate shower-room, however, due to a plumbing emergency we have installed a separate shower in the bathroom, and we are planning to convert the old shower-room into the boxroom. This does not affect any of the amenities listed. Guest access Free on-street parking. Good bus connection from Easter Road (up to 2 min walk from the flat) and lots of buses from London Road (about 5min walk from the flat). Easter road provides food supermarkets (Coop, Lidl, Iceland), Easter Greens shop (vegan food), a couple of wine/booze speciality shops, more than 5 hairdressers, and more. Meadowbank shopping centre is 10min walk away. Lochend Loch & Park is 11min walk away. Most recommended Calton Hill about 21min walk. Other things to note Infant & baby friendly: please note that a number of amenities are available, including a baby bath, travel cot, playmat; however we may not keep them all in the flat (for the convenience of the guests who do not require those things) hence we ask that you kindly enquire/discuss this kind of requirements with us in advance. There is a small communal garden at the rear of the property, and a large public park a close by - ideal for picnics, hiking, running, and cycling. There’s also a walking path that takes you to Portobello beach (around 45 minutes walk). Trendy and upcoming Leith area can be also reached by foot which takes about 10 minutes to walk. We are growing fresh mint and rhubarb and you are welcome to help yourself for some of them (subject of season)!
