Eco half-timbered house Black Forest: nature, animals, birds!

Your flat in our half-timbered house is the ideal starting point for excursions to the Black Forest, Kraichgau or to Karlsruhe and Stuttgart. Our farmhouse is located north of the "Black Forest Nature Park". Nature invites you to cycle, hike and discover: orchards, forests, meadow valleys and high moors, gorges, streams & lakes! And vineyards. But you can also relax in our garden and enjoy local wine or craft beer. We have 2 dogs and 1 cat, turtles and sheep (not always on premise). The space Our half-timbered house was ecologically renovated in 2019 - you live with cosy materials such as wood, clay, straw and lime - but no concrete and no plastic. Your rustic-modern holiday flat, which is pleasantly cool in summer, consists of a living room, bedroom and bathroom. In the cosy living room (13 sqm) you have a dining/work table with 2 chairs, 1 armchair, 1 cupboard, 1 fridge (50 litres), 1 kettle, 1 French press coffee machine and plenty of coffee and tea for free. The bedroom (double bed 200 x 160 cm) and the bathroom (with large bathtub) are separated from the living room by a door and a small corridor. Unfortunately there is no kitchen, but there is a kettle, coffee press, fridge and electric grill. The nearest pizzeria is in the neighbouring part of the village and delivers directly. Our village has several excellent restaurants, artisan bakeries, good butchers, four supermarkets and everything you need for shopping. From your front door you can step out into the sunny, flower-filled garden and onto the 4,000 square metre meadow with 2 comfortable deckchairs (in summer). Here 9 fenced-in sheep graze, our cat stalks around and occasionally our 2 family-friendly dogs are outside. There are also tortoises in the terrarium (not in winter). All to yourself, behind a thick green hedge, you also have your own seating area (barbecue on request). Thanks to the combination of traditional and modern construction of the walls, the rooms in your flat have a pleasant room temperature even on hot days - and are cosy and warm in winter, without dry air. Although you can forget the world around you here, you can keep in touch with the whole world with a very fast WLAN. Wi-Fi also in the garden - it can be switched off on request. Your e-bike has space in the large barn and can be charged there free of charge! We clean and sanitise according to Airbnb specifications. Guest access You have your own front door for your self-contained granny flat on the ground floor of the three-sided farm. Access is via a rustic three-step staircase, despite the ground floor. Before that, there are 4 steps from the courtyard into your garden. The windows face west (sun from midday) and north. The access from the street to your front door is almost completely out of sight of your landlords. Other things to note Our ecologically renovated monument has walls made of natural clay and untreated (old) wood - a wonderful indoor climate! The building fabric of the house is almost completely plastic-free and concrete-free. Two of the walls in your flat are made of sandstone (where the fireplace used to be and is now your living room) and we deliberately leave some soot from 250 years ago on the ceiling (only there!). The motorway appears very close on the map at first sight. But since it is much lower and shielded by a huge noise barrier, you don't hear it at all in the flat. In the garden, you may hear a low hum in certain weather conditions, but this could also be from the bees. None of our guests have noticed the motorway as a nuisance - if they have noticed it at all. Cyclists are welcome! But: It is very hilly here. You can park your e-bike at ground level in our barn and charge it for free. Unfortunately, our holiday flat is not suitable for small children, sorry! At most for babies who are not yet crawling (please bring your own baby cot). "Rural"! You've already noticed: this is a small farm in the countryside (albeit close to Karlsruhe and Pforzheim), not a clinically pure sanatorium. There may be 1 or 2 flies in your room (fly swatter is also there). Where 2 cats live, there may be a dead mouse somewhere on the large property. And the meadow is not a lawn, but a meadow with depressions and holes, and with sheep droppings ;-)
