Luxury Exmoor Barn with Sauna

You will love our luxurious newly converted barn with its woodburning stove and sauna. It is adjacent to our farmhouse so help is on hand with advice on the local area. Although we are in a secluded valley, it is just a short walk along the riverbank to the village stores, two recommended pubs and a tearoom, so no worries about whose turn it is to drive! The space Spindrift barn was converted in 2017 from stabling with a threshing floor above. We have retained the traditional character with the original oak beams and the stairs were created using timber from an old wharf and jetty, hence the nautical references in the name and decor. The barn is completely self contained and is a lovely, welcoming space to come back to after a busy day exploring this wonderful area. Large french windows on two floors give easy access to your own courtyard garden in the summer. There is a drying area on the mezannine for wet coats and walking boots and the large woodburner lights in seconds. Underfloor heating throughout the ground floor keeps you toasty in the winter. Guest access You are welcome to walk through the fields in front of the barn which give access to the river Exe for fishing or paddling. There are several spots to sit and ponder, and endless painting and photography opportunities. Other things to note Please be aware that we are a working smallholding so your dog must be under control around livestock.
