Description
Refurbished, bright, spacious one bedroom barn conversion, located up a peaceful country lane, just a moments walk from the centre of the thriving, quaint village of Wedmore. Shared drive with parking for one vehicle and own private patio. Opportunity to sit and star gaze, birdwatch or just enjoy a peaceful drink outdoors. Also moments away from three great pubs and several charming cafes and eateries. Wedmore is a stunning central location from which to explore all of Somerset. The space This beautifully refurbished, spacious cottage was once a hayloft and retains many original features. It is the ideal setting for holiday makers to enjoy as a peaceful base from which to explore Somerset. Whether it’s a holiday to relax and enjoy nature, an energetic walking/cycling experience, or an opportunity to enjoy the culture in Wells, Glastonbury, Bath and Bristol, we are available to answer your queries and provide our recommendations to help you have an enjoyable and memorable trip. The cottage is in the grounds of our family home but enjoys a great deal of privacy. While the barn has an original Victorian spiral staircase we sadly can not recommend it as being suitable for families with toddlers. We are happy to consider older children, so feel free to make contact, if you think it may be suitable for your family. We hope to welcome you soon! Guest access As we are living in the same grounds and share the same drive we are on hand to welcome and answer any questions you may have, but at the same time we provide you the privacy and peace to enjoy your stay. Should you require storage for bicycles, then we can provide access to our garage. We also have an outdoor table tennis table and you are welcome to enjoy a little ping pong. Other things to note Peaceful setting up quiet shared lane; walks straight onto the fields and beyond without having to cross a road; an abundance of cycling routes to challenge all abilities, as well as the Somerset Levels for a more relaxing ride; wonderful birdwatching opportunities; stargazing by night; bbq available; and amazing choice of welcoming and diverse pubs and cafes within one to five minutes walk across the church grounds and into the thriving and beautiful centre of ancient Wedmore. This Somerset village also has a local grocers, butchers and fishmongers as well as craft, gift and clothing shops.
