The space This is an independent unit with access via the garden and an outdoor place to sit, it gives you privacy away from the main house but we are still available as your host if you need anything. You are welcome to bring food back to the room, there are a couple of takeaways near by and Just Eats will deliver if you want it. But Oxford, London, Warwick, Cambridge, Birmingham are all also within striking distance by public transport or car. Here are some of the main attractions in the local area: Bicester Village: this famous outlet centre is packed with shops and eateries Bicester Heritage Centre: home to the Sunday Scramble and the UK’s only hub for historic motoring excellence, this centre also hosts a range of well-known events. Great day out! Blenheim Palace: birthplace of Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace is a lovely place to go for a day trip from Bicester. There are also many events hosting in their grounds, so keep an eye out for what’s on! Oxford: this beautiful university city is well worth an afternoon exploring the colleges and cute cafes. Cotswolds: head for a day trip to the Cotswolds, where you can take in the beauty of villages like Chipping Campden, Bourton-on-the-Water (the UK’s version of Venice!) and Stow-on-the-Wold. Why not grab some lunch at Daylesford whilst you’re at it? Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick: explore Shakespeare’s country with ease, as these two delightful towns are just a quick jaunt up the M40. Silverstone Racetrack: Grand Prix enthusiasts won’t need an explanation of what goes on here – well worth a trip! The Bicester Hotel and Spa is a lovely place to go for a massage, game of golf or a dip in the pool – only minutes up the road! The Old Flight House has a bit of a following on social media these days, but this antiques centre is just a ten minutes’ drive away and well worth an hour or two of your time – plus, they have great cake! There are also lots of walks in the local area – let me know what sort of distance you fancy, and I can recommend some.
