It boasts spectacular views over the Avello Valley and is at the foot of the 2,252 meter high Martellese Mountain, one of the highest in the Maiella range. At La casa nella roccia, you can be in the mountains in the morning, on the beach in the afternoon, and have dinner in the countryside under the stars. The nearest beach, Francavilla, is 40 km away. The fashionable beach resort of Pescara is a 45-minute drive. It is also a small fishing & ferry port, with an excellent fish market, open in the mornings. Ferry destinations include Croatia. The cycle and footway that runs along the Adriatic coast is a popular place for locals to promenade & socialize. Other things to note In winter, the house is heated only by the fireplace, which allows the operation of the radiators and hot water. If you are not used to using the fireplace at the beginning, you may find it a bit difficult. In summer, however, there is a water heater that heats the water so you do not have to use the fireplace.
