Though unmarked on maps and known only to locals, Mt. Maltauna’s wild and uncharted nature is celebrated in the apartment’s handmade decorations, crafted from recycled and natural materials like driftwood and unique rocks collected from the nearby stream. Other things to note Guests should keep in mind that Corfu experiences dramatic weather changes between the cold and warm months. A pleasant walk in the summer or spring can become much more challenging in the colder months. Most local shops and tavernas open around May and close in November. This means that most restaurants will be closed during the winter months. However, winter guests will have the opportunity to try more genuine eateries in nearby villages that cater primarily to local residents.
